Perfection!

One of our favourite stays over the last 4 months in Asia!! Everything was perfect! The rooms were amazing with big comfy beds and plenty of room for your stuff, also a balcony to sit and enjoy the serenity and beautiful view over the hills. The main thing you need is a scooter and you can rent one of them for a good price. It’s only about 10-15 minutes from the main strip of restaurants, bars and everything you need, there is some located closer aswell, scattered through the hills. The host is also amazing, helping with everything we needed, and very kind and welcoming. A big bonus is the 30k breakfast and drink that you can get delivered to your balcony at whatever time you like, the omelettes were awesome! I would 100% recommend staying here, amazing!

Ameizing views, excepcional personal and peacefull sensations

This is the best place to stay! The bungalows are beautiful. Of you like peace and jungle this is yor place. Also you have everything you need, from scooters rent , taxis or excursions from the hotel . We had the best time there, the personal is so kind and always be there for every need and even more. Im more than grateful with Made, my birthday was so special in this beautiful place!

A calm and welcoming place with everything you need

I chose this place because it's close to a café I wanted to work from and it was just right. The atmosphere is relaxed, the view is beautiful and everything felt calm and welcoming. There's something refreshingly real about the way Made hosts - he's warm, thoughtful and genuinely helpful. Laundry, scooter rental and even my ticket to Sanur were all sorted with no hassle. I was traveling alone and felt totally safe and comfortable throughout my stay.

We stayed 4 nights at Ayu Hill and we had a great time. The bungalows are simple, clean and cozy. You have a great view over green hills and the ocean with Mount Batur. The host Madi and his family are a so lovely, the played with our daughter and are open to a chat with every guest. We had time to talk with them about the culture and traditions. If we’re ever on Nusa Penida again, we’ll go there.

Amazing

Beautiful property with a great view of Mount Agung. Away from the busy streets of the port and great location to base yourself if you want to see different parts of the island as it is very central. Room was great and staff very helpful

Lovely place

From the first moment Made and Ayu give as a warm welcome to their place, bouth of them help us on every step to get to the islad. Everything that we neaded they were there, they even took us back to the harbour for a very good price comper to others. We are going back just because the host and the family really make our trip much happier. Thank you, Made and Ayu.

Lovely stay! Would recommend

Really nice cosy rooms, comfy bed, amazing view, friendly staff, nice breakfast included, a/c worked well, WiFi was good, central location to the island.

The location is great for the major tourist spots if you're confident on a scooter/moped, otherwise it's a little out of the way from anywhere.

We had such an amazing stay here! The bungalows and views are absolutely beautiful. Made and his family are beautiful people and are so welcoming and helpful - they even picked us up from the beach with scooters one day. Would love to come back!

It’s a little far from town - so good if you ride a scooter! It wasn’t an issue for us as it was worth it for the peacefulness!

Adventurous stay in the wildness

The view is amazing! It's really peaceful, and the personal is always helpful. You can write them and they'll help you immediately.

The room was really dirty, everywhere was dust and a lot of other undefinable stuff. We had a lot of roommates (spiders, insects, geckos, rats...) and their excrementes. Another problem was the bathroom. The toilet was leaking, and therefore the room was always wet. It would need a renovation. We knew that the bungalow is in the middle of nowhere and therefore there'll be a few animals, but we didn't expect to find them in the room! We also had a grub in our breakfast (at least it was cooked 😅) So you have to expect to hear a lot of animals during the night (animals crawling and eating, roasters, cows, rats....).

The staff were lovely. The surroundings are beautiful and the breakfast was also great. The bed was comfortable too!

A few mosquitoes got into the bathroom due to the open section for ventilation. It did have mesh wire over the opening but the gaps are big. Maybe finer mesh would help keep bugs out :)

Absolutely stunning and amazing hospitality

Everything was amazing, especially the view! Breakfast was amazing and location are good. Given no easy transport in Nusa Penida, they were able to help us book a guide for tours and also take us to lunch and dinner. Facilities themselves are great, comfy rooms with everything you need.

This was a very special, authentic experience for us and we are really glad we chose to stay here

- The bungalows are set on top of a hill, overlooking what might be Teletubbies hill. - At night, you can hear the sounds of nature and, in the morning, you are awaken by a natural alarm of roosters and prayers. - The staff are very hospitable and lovely to deal with. The breakfast omelette is delicious! - Although a few reviews say that the property is not within walking distance of restaurants, this is actually not true. Deep roots (the terrace) is a lovely 20 minute walk down the hill and has an amazing indonesian soup and fish dish (snapper) that was unbelievable. Town is a quick 45 minute walk downhill and has so many lovely options right near the water.

For such a good price, you cannot complain.

Gorgeous bungalows in serene setting

Ayu Hill Bungalow is a real gem. The grounds a stunning & serene. The rooms are extremely comfortable & the breakfasts are delicious. The staff went out of their way to accommodate me. I highly recommend staying here in you’re in Nusa Penida. We’ll be back!

Beautiful place in the middle of nature. Sweet staff and great breakfast. The bungalow is simple but has everything you need. Loved the location and the jungle feel around the accommodation. We rented a scooter from the accommodation to move around the island. Love Nusa Penida.

So so so nice !! In the very middle of Nusa penida ! You can go everywhere on the island with a scooter ! The view... the best one ! Wake up early for the sunrise, then breakfast with view on the mountains ! They do breakfast (very good) but no lunch or dinner but you have a kitchen if you want

Rent a 125cc scooter at the harbour when you arrive. Cheaper than a taxi. (75 000VND after negociation) Or it will be complicated to go up.

lovely bungalow in the middle of nature

staff was super friendly and breakfast (pankeces!!) were delicious !!❤️ garden view was nice and I personally loved it that the bungalow was a little bit out of the main area so there was pretty quiet. only you can hear was Mother Nature and animals ❤️ thank you ❤️ but for others: you kind of have to rent a scooter if you are gonna stay here🤪

The location is very quiet, connecting to nature. Staff are super friendly. Bed is great. Breakfast tasty. The best is the view at the top of the hill. You can see Mount Argung clearly.

The mosquitoes are terrible. but I think it’s part of the deal and f closing to nature. It’s not easy to get to the restaurant. Scooter is a must.

It is the place to stay in Nusa Penida and one of the most incredible in all of Bali. The value for the money is unbeatable!

The owner, Made and his cousin, Gede, who drove us around, were very friendly and helpful throughout our whole stay. We enjoyed being in the center of the island, in the middle of the jungle, in a beautiful spot hidden from the traps of tourism.
