A home away from home

Great communication, location, space. Overall, it exceeded expectations. Even if we dont speak German, we managed to understand. very good location, non touristy and peaceful. Amazing stay, extremely friendly and helpful host

Amazing stay, extremely friendly and helpful host...Alexandra helped us with all the details about the stay and what to do around the place. Everything from bed to balcony to washroom to kitchen was perfect. Bakery was 2 mins walk away and 5 mins walk to supermarket. Huge gated parking. The apartment was nice and clean and kitchen was very well equipped. There is also a huge balcony.

Home away from home at Haus Alexandra!

Everything about the stay was perfect- the apartment was spacious and absolutely spotless when we arrived. There is free WiFi available and you can park securely off the road as the property is gated. The Haus itself is stunning and we had a gorgeous patio in the garden that we could sit outside in, with a wind out sun shade if we needed. I believed we had booked the largest available apartment, and there were so many amenities included - we were able to cook as there was a fully equipped kitchen with everything you could think of - fridge, dishwasher, pots, pans etc. There was plenty of storage throughout the apartment, and two double sized beds so great if you are traveling with more people. The bathroom was fully supplied also, there were plenty of towels etc included and sweet touches like soaps and a welcome glass of prosecco. The area the property is in is quiet, peaceful and feels very safe. There is a supermarket nearby, as well as some restaurants and a take away option (if you are so inclined!). Lake Bled is only a short drive away, and you are given access to the gate so that you can come and go as you please, so no worries if you want to stay out all day exploring or on the water. The hosts were SO friendly, kind and welcoming - it's clear they have put a huge amount of love and care into Haus Alexandra and we can't thank them enough! This stay was honestly fantastic, such great value for money and in a great location. Don't hesitate to book - we will definitely be coming back!

Extraordinary, unique experience

To begin with, the way we were welcomed was very unique and kind. The owner called us on our names, prepared brochures in our native language and suggested us points of interests nearby. He showed us around and gave us a good kickstart for our stay in a good mood. The apartment was way over our expectations. It is organized in a very tasteful way, with all kinds of equipment (coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, you name it) at disposal. On top of that, the room was very tidy and prepared with fresh towels, bed sheets and all other necessities. The apartment has a large balcony with glorious views, where we enjoyed our afternoons. The yard was available for free parking, which was a great plus in our case. Due to all this, we immediately fell in love with the place and felt being at home. The Vintgar Gorge and Lake Bled are in 5-10 minutes reach from the location by car. There are also many restaurants around worth visiting. The Bled Castle can be seen from the balcony further enhancing the already magnificent view. Another plus is that the owners offered us bicycles to rent, but we did not live with this possibility.

There is not a single flaw about the apartment we could name. The lakeside and the city was quite crowded at the time we visited (August 2018), which travellers should consider. The main roads in Bled and the highway were full of traffic and therefore jams during the midday hours. Also we found it rather difficult to find parking spots near the beach during the day, so we went to the lakeside around 6 PM, when it was considerably easy to do so. For these reasons in my opinion, the best option to go to the beach is by bike or on foot (the latter surely takes 30-45 minutes).

Exceptional

Amazing appartment in a relaxing environment. There you have all you need to make your stay very comfortable. A bit far from Bled, which makes its location even better since in Bled it was impossible to park the car. A free shuttle bus ticket was given to us by the owners to make it easier to get to Bled.

Séjour très agréable dans un cadre charmant et dans un appartement douillet.

Nous avons apprécié le confort de l’appartement ainsi que sa situation géographique. Le lac est à 45 minutes de marche environ et le trajet est très agréable. Retour possible en bus depuis le centre de Bled pour 1,50 €, l’arrêt est devant l’appartement. Nous avons apprécié également le balcon privatif. Place de parking devant l’appartement à l’intérieur de la propriété.

Haus Alexandra Apartment ist ein fantastischer Ort mit einer wunderschönen Aussicht vom Balkon. Die Wohnung ist perfekt sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Schade, dass wir nur eine Nacht geblieben sind, denn die Gegend bietet viele Sehenswürdigkeiten für einen viel längeren Aufenthalt. Ein besonderer Dank für freundliche, lächelnde und hilfsbereite Besitzerin, Frau Alexandra.

Sehr freundliche Gastgeber, deutschsprachig. Ein kleiner Supermarkt und die Bushaltestelle sind in 200 m Entfernung. Ein längerer Spaziergang und man ist am See. Allerdings geht es dann abends steil hinauf… Für Wanderer aber eine Option. Wir haben uns wirklich sehr wohl gefühlt - große Räume, alles neu und sehr sauber.

Es kann natürlich alles noch näher am See sein…

Alexandra war super nett, einchecken und Kommunikation verlief reibungslos. Das Haus ist sehr schön und nahe an Bled und anderen Sehenswürdigkeiten gelegen. Sehr zu empfehlen!
