Magic Lapland experience

Amazing winter atmosphere in Lapland! Gorgeous morning sum view with Yllas hill. Great location for many activities such as hiking, xcountry skiing, snowshoeing. 10 minute drive to Yllas ski resort. Auroras in the night left us speechless. Cabin itself is warm and cozy, has everything one needs. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Wish to come back next year!

Amazing place to explore the magic of lapland

The location was very nice and quiet but at a short distance of the village with all the amenities you need. The saunas are great. So was the cabin. It had everything we needed to cook, shower, sleep and heat by the fireplace.

The internet connection was usually pretty bad. But hardly needed when you can go cross country skiing or watch the aurora borealis.

wonderfully relaxing

+there were well enough all kinds of kitchen utensils for cooking and baking for two of us +there was a little freezer section in the fridge that worked very well +accommodating and authentic with all the luxuries +peaceful environment surrounded by beautiful nature, reindeer right at your doorstep

-there is a bit of a walk to the closest grocery store (3,7 km); however, they deliver home as well or you can quickly ski there

The snow and skiing conditions were outstanding in contrast to the quality of the accommodation.

The close proximity of the property to the skiing tracks was a significant benefit.

The advertisement stated 'detached' but the property was semi-detached. The interior equipment is outdated i.e. 20 or 30 years old. Window handles are coming off, mattresses and pillows have holes. There are only bunk beds but no normal beds at No. 3, 4, and 5. The host did not respond to three telephone calls on arrival to get clearer directions where to find the property in the dark or where to find keys! He replied the next day when it was too late. By coincidence, an extremely helpful cleaning lady just finished cleaning a cabin and let me in. Not sure what I would have done if she did not happen to be there. A large group of over 30 other tourists arrived during my stay. Since the cabin was not detached, there seemed to be a distinct lack of privacy given the number of people.

idyllische ruhige Lage im Winterwunderland

Es war wundervoll den Urlaub in der Hütte im Schnee zu verbringen. Ca. 5 km von Äkäslompolo befand sich diese im verschneiten Wald. Unsere Hütte war für 2 Personen gedacht mit der Möglichkeit eine dritte Person auf der Bettcouch schlafen zu lassen. Daneben gab es noch ca. 3 bis 4 größere Hütten. Es war alles vorhanden, was man von einer Ferienwohnung im Schnee erträumt, offener Kamin für ein gemütliches Feuer, genügend Holz, um dieses anzuzünden, elektrische Sauna, Grillhütte, ein paar Stufen unterhalb ein kleiner Eissee. Direkt an der Hütte verliefen Wanderwege und Langlaufloipen. Wir teilten unsere voraussichtliche Ankunftszeit mit und wurden von Nina empfangen. Bei der Abreise konnten wir einfach den Schlüssel in der Hütte deponieren.

Ottima struttura, con tutto il neccessario utile per il soggiorno. Cordiali e disponibili i proprietari. Buona la posizione vicino al centro, ma abbastanza fuori immersa nel bosco per godersi anche l'aurora boreale.

Absolutamente todo, un lugar mágico, rodeado de pura naturaleza. Cabe destacar el desayuno, delicioso y variado en una cabaña acogedora así como la tradicional sauna al lado del río. Los anfitriones fueron muy atentos y amables.
