Nice experience

My stay in Uma Tamam House was mostly comfortable. The road that goes to the house from the main street is narrow, with busy traffic, so it wasn't easy to walk but manageable.There's no breakfast option but there's always hot water, coffee and tea for your consumption, day and night. The caretaker of the house, Ayu is such a sweetheart and always happy to help.

The community building just across the house was usually busy with people and noise coming even in the evening or night. I complained about that and the noises stopped on my last two days. You might need earplugs if you're sensitive to noise like me.

Quiet authentic place

It's a very nice and simple accommodation, perfect if you want something authentic and quiet. The room is pretty clean, and looks neat. The owner is a very pleasant woman. The street itself has plenty of wonderful local cafés, with delicious and cheap food of ever kind. I'm very satisfied with my stay here.

Be aware, that there is no AC, just a ceiling fan, which worked fine for me. The shower floor gets filled with water and takes time to drain properly.

It was the nicest affordable place we stayed at. Everything was nice and clean! Ayu was the nicest host ever. We had hot water and the area is very close to the main stretch but far enough for the peace and quiet. Would definitely recommend.

Hidden gem in the heart of Ubud

Very very nice stay. The room has everything you need - a closet, nightstands, a comfortable bed and a desk. Uma is really super nice. She changes hot water for tea or coffee several times throughout the day and every second day she cleans the room and changes the bedsheets. You can also rent a scooter. Thanks for everything Uma!

The best place in Ubud

Great as always. We came back here again after 3 months of traveling around Indonesia. The place is run with great care and the owners want you to feel at home. The rooms are spacious and clean, the beds are comfortable, and the shower has hot water and good pressure. The room has a wardrobe and a table with a chair. There is no air conditioning in the rooms, there is a ceiling fan and it was enough for more than that. The place is posted a lot of greenery and that gives shade and the rooms do not heat up. The location is great, not far from the center, yet quiet and peaceful. The owners are lovely people, and the owner is a person whose smile does not disappear from her face. On site you can rent a scooter or buy a trip to Mt. Batur. You can also buy water or beer on site (the owners also have a small grocery store nearby). Breakfast very good and varied, freshly prepared by the owner. When we come back to Ubud, we will definitely stay here again.

After 3 months in Indonesia, we find that the possibility of refilling drinking water in hostels is an additional asset. It doesn't have to be free, but if there was a large bottle from which you can refill your water bottle, it would be great and less plastic by the way. A minor observation that doesn't change my opinion.

Dream stay & amazing value in Ubud

So comfortable, clean, surrounded by plants, spacious rooms, lovely owner - we stayed five nights and could’ve easily stayed longer. There is hot water for tea and coffee available, each room has its own little table where you can sit and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere. The location is in walking distance to town or you can’t rent a scooter through the accommodation or next door. Laundry service also close by.

Water refill tank would be lovely ☺️ it’s cheaper and more sustainable than buying the bottles

Owner was so lovely and friendly, we really enjoyed our stay! She booked a sunrise mount batur trek for us which was well organised (very good price also). Nice room and peaceful outside area. Hope to return and stay here again, thank you!
