Agriturismo Podere Rondinaio

If you’re looking to stay at an agriturismo, this is a decent option. The view from the top of the hill is beautiful, and the peaceful atmosphere made for a nice experience. That said, the service was excellent. The staff were very welcoming, and the room was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Breakfast was absolutely outstanding and one of the highlights of our stay.

For me, however, the location was a bit too far from everything, so I’m not sure I would stay here again. I also noticed a few other agriturismos nearby that seemed to have more convenient locations. On the other hand, the Tuscan dinner we booked as an extra was quite disappointing. The menu felt very basic for the price, with no dishes that really stood out or felt worth the additional cost. The vegan appetizer, in particular, was not good at all. The homemade pasta was quite nice, but overall the meal still didn’t feel like good value for money. The wine served with dinner was also below average and wasn’t to our taste. The only downside was the parking. There wasn’t enough parking space. When the parking lot was full, we had to park along the road next to the pool, which is something that should be improved for accommodations where most guests arrive by car. And there were metal frame laid across the entrance. The height difference between the low and high sections was not smooth enough, so low-clearance vehicles could scrape the underside. Our car seemed to get slightly scratched, so we ended up parking on the roadside instead of entering the parking area.

The accommodation is located in a beautiful, historic Tuscan house with a small swimming pool, full of charm and character.
The room was spacious and comfortable, with a large private bathroom. There is also a lovely terrace with tables where breakfast is served, offering a peaceful view of the surrounding hills and vineyards. Breakfast is served buffet-style and offers a good variety, with something for everyone. The room does not have a TV or air conditioning, but even with daytime temperatures above 35°C, this was not an issue—as long as you keep the shutters closed during the day, the room stays pleasantly cool. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with useful tips and recommendations, whether for dinner or exploring the surrounding area.

However, we unfortunately had some bad luck with other guests during our stay.
Some of them were not very considerate and did not pay much attention to other guests. A group of young people spent two out of our three nights partying and being quite loud on the terrace right below our window, so we were only able to fall asleep after 1 am.
