Mara Leisure Camp

We had a wonderful stay at Mara Leisure Camp, and the newly renovated tents genuinely exceeded our expectations. They are absolutely at par with some of the bigger luxury hotel camps, including JW Marriott-level standards. Despite renovations being ongoing, the entire property was exceptionally clean and well maintained, and we experienced no inconvenience whatsoever. The new tents are beautiful, spacious and thoughtfully done, with breathtaking views. Having both hot water and AC in the tents was a huge plus, especially after long game drives. The food was consistently great, and the packed breakfasts and lunches prepared for our game drives were also of a very good standard. Most of all, the staff were amazing — warm, attentive, accommodating and always willing to help. A special mention to Julius Giulio, who oversaw our stay and bookings and went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of and that we had an excellent experience.

Sehr nettes aufmerksames Personal! Das Essen war durchweg sehr lecker und es war immer für jeden was dabei. Joseph war unser Safari Guide, er hat sich über die gesamten 4 Tage lang große Mühe gegeben uns alle Tiere zu zeigen (Big five innerhalb von 2 Tagen, 4 davon in den ersten 2 Stunden!). Er hat immer dafür gesorgt das alles so komfortabel wie möglich ist (an kalten Morgen sogar decken dabei gehabt.) der Plan für den nächsten Tag wurde jeden Abend mit uns besprochen und alles wurde auf unsere Wünsche und Erwartungen angepasst. Die Zimmer und Betten waren vollkommen in Ordnung, wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und konnten uns gut erholen. Transfer vom und zum Airstrip zurück waren pünktlich und problemlos. Ein wirklich tolles Camp, würden wir jedem weiter empfehlen!

Der Pool sieht nicht mehr so toll aus, hatte trotzdem einmal die Beine drin.

The location was great

We paid for a half day game drive but they took us for only one hour and a half. The driver was driving very fast and he couldn't stop for us to take photos. He couldn't also give us any knowledge about the animals. He only focused on driving. We asked him to take us where the other tourists were heading to watch the lions as they were spotted by other drivers but instead he told us that we can do that the next day. It was the worst safari ever considering being out first time there
