Andrea picked us up from the train station, which was a nice touch. The room was awesome - very clean and with a lot of character. The kitchen is well equipped for simple meals (we need to cook and so definitely used it). Previous reviews mentioned no large cups, but there were mugs for our stay. I did boil water for tea in a pot, since there is no kettle, but this is no big deal. The bathroom is modern and very clean. Plenty of hot water for showers. We loved the vaulted stone ceilings. The location is steps away from the beach located directly in the historical old town. It was quiet at night. We walked to a Dok supermarket (near the train station) in 15-20 minutes. Definitely a great value for what we paid. The roof terrace was amazing! Spectacular views! We ate several meals up there, which was wonderful. That said, the stairs to get there are VERY awkward. Once up there, there are tables and chairs as well as loungers. There is a shade provided, so it is always possible to sit outside away from the sun. The view of both the city and the sea was amazing. Sunsets were unbelievable.

The steps to the roof terrace. They are steep and irregular with a very low ceiling (I am short and still needed to be careful) and no handrail. Definitely not for people with mobility issues.

A good position in the old town. Very helpful host who gave very useful parking advice & a good bar recommendation. Excellent hairdryer. Quite good kitchen equipment. We liked the position with a local family as neighbours.

The premises felt claustrophobic & smelled of refuse when we arrived in the foyer. The shower tray leaked. No comfortable chairs to relax in when wet outside. The access staircase very slippery in the rain. The roof terrace only safe to access when the stairs are dry. No smoke detectors & main door only opens from the inside with the key so, if one of you goes out alone, the other is either locked in or has to wait around to let the other in. No phone signal without wifi so you can't call each other.
