Matera Sassi Rooms was a wonderful surprise for us. The host was incredibly hospitable and shared valuable information about Matera’s historic Sassi, which was very helpful during our stay. We arrived by motorcycle and were kindly offered a garage for parking, which was a huge plus for us. The lady who welcomed us truly did her best to make our stay in Matera comfortable. The rooms are cozy and clean, with everything you need for a pleasant stay. You really don’t need anything more. The Sassi can easily be reached on foot, by bus, car, or motorcycle. Since we were traveling by motorcycle, the host explained the easiest way to reach the old town, which made things much easier. Another nice touch is the vending machine at reception, where you can buy basic necessities 24/7 at very reasonable prices. Breakfast is served at the nearby Lux Café and includes a typical Italian coffee of your choice and a delicious croissant - the perfect way to start the day before heading out to explore Matera! Highly recommended for a comfortable and convenient stay in Matera. Thank you and see you again!
