La Cueva Eco-Lodge

We absolutely loved our stay at La Cueva. Hans has created a quiet, spacious oasis a quick walk away from the beautiful Playa Playita beach and main street of Las Galeras. We loved the location, the neighborhood horses, and the cute street pups that escorted us home from town each evening under the stars. Definitely book here if you're looking for a unique property near all the things Las Galeras has to offer. Truly a magical experience.

It would've been game changing if a bag of coffee provided for guests! Also, since there's a fully stocked kitchen, it would be helpful to have a kitchen bin with a lid so food could be thrown away without worrying about ants. Since the house is literally built into the side of a cave, guests should be prepared for the occasional outdoor visitor. For example, we had some small toads near the shower but it was all part of the adventure.

We loved so many things about this place! First of all the house itself is really amazing. Its built in tune with nature and has some super cool rock features inside. The bathroom is pretty incredible! The house is spacious and clean. The porch with the thatch roof is the perfect spot to relax after the beach in a hammock and watch the hummingbirds in the tropical garden. Quiet neighborhood right next to one of the most beautiful beaches i have ever seen. Two minutes walk to the main little street with restaurants and colmados. Perfect spot for a couple or family! Hans was very accommodating and helpful!
