Birdsong Leisure Resort

One of the nicest places we stayed in Sri Lanka! The setting of the resort is lovely and peaceful with excellent facilities and a really nice pool. The room was very spacious and comfortable with A/C and a very comfortable bed. The staff were incredibly helpful - for organising transport and tours and giving general advice. The highlight of our stay was the absolutely incredible meal prepared by the resort's chef - a huge feed of Sri Lankan Rice and curries. It was absolutely delicious and the nicest food we had while in Sri Lanka. Our only complaint was that we only stayed for one night and didn't book for longer! Overall could not recommend this place more, thank you to the wonderful staff!

The accommodation was exceptionally clean, and the rooms were fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The pool was a lovely way to relax in the evening. We were also offered a safari, and after comparing prices, it turned out to be the best and most affordable option. We saw all the animals we had hoped for, and the tour guide shared many fascinating facts along the way. The hotel staff were incredibly courteous and helpful throughout our stay. The host even went above and beyond by driving us back to the bus station and arranging accommodation for our next stop. I would definitely book this hotel again!

I had an incredible time at this property. The location is beautiful, and the large swimming pool was a standout feature—absolutely perfect for relaxing. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. The staff were all extremely friendly and welcoming, making the stay even more enjoyable. The food was also delicious, with plenty of variety and flavor. Overall, a truly amazing stay—highly recommended!

I‘m really sorry but I would definitely NOT recommanding staying there again! We had a nice safari but the hotel is just awful! It‘s really really old and not we’ll maintained at all (not like in the pictures) and dirty. All the sheets and towels were really dirty and the bathroom itsself was a real disaster. It smelled like a sewage system, the lock was damaged and the shower sprayed all over the room. Furthermore there were always many people who didn’t belong to the hotel staying there which felt kind of weird. And last but not least, it‘s neither a resort nor a spa. It‘s more like a guest house, so if you expect a resort you will be more than dissapointed. We‘ve stayed all over Sri Lanka in places with the same value but this was definitely the worst one.
