The view from the room was breathtaking, and the place was immersed in the nature! It was a nice clean room for the price paid. The whole hosting family were very nice and kind, also they cooked delicious local meals for dinner and breakfast (for a fee, worthy it), plus we played some games afterwards. The place is close to a nice hiking trail that through tea plantations take you to the top of a mountain for another great view or also to a nice river/pond area, where to relax and take a swim.

A magical place away from the beautiful craziness of Haputale. Spend hours looking out of the window watching storms come and go, walk through the tea plantation to find special lookouts. In the evening before good wholesome food hang out with the other guests and family and play some games. And don’t miss Frankie’s chocolate samosa hut up by the road, perfect with a good book and cup of strong tea.

The family were the loveliest most welcoming people. The views were stunning! There are steps to get to this property- it is so worth the effort!

Owner and his family are super kind, very helpful, and they spoke great English. I genuinely enjoyed the time I spent with them. Everyone was polite, supportive, and really went out of their way to help. The views from the terrace and the nearby campsite are also absolutely beautiful.

I’m honestly a bit torn, because the team at the property was absolutely lovely, as mentioned, they were super kind, very helpful, and they spoke great English. Leaving aside the fact that I was given a different room than the one I had booked, which I only realised myself later in the evening, the room simply should not have been rented out. There was mould on basically every inch of the wall, rubbish left behind by previous guests, and no proper bedding at all. I also had serious doubts about whether the blankets and pillowcases had actually been washed. At this point, it’s not even about “value for money” anymore. This was a room that should not have been offered to guests in the first place. I feel genuinely bad writing this, because the people working there were so lovely and welcoming.
