The place changed ownership in the last year and many improvements have been made recently, so pay little attention to reviews dated prior to January 2026! The pool is clean and heated and there is a Jacuzzi. All the rooms got re-built from the ground up and are clean. The restaurant is AMAZINGGGGGG and the staff all incredibly kind and accommodating. I enjoyed eating surrounded by hummingbirds every morning and returning to the jacuzzi at night after a day of experiencing Mindo. It is the right distance from town for a balance between convenience (a quick walk brings you right to the town center) while also being far enough away to feel like a retreat. The food was truly 5/5 and we ended up eating a couple of dinners there rather than going out just because it was so tempting. They make a mean Mojito as well.

Honestly the restaurant and public areas are where this Ecolodge shine. The room was nice and perfectly serviceable, but it's worth noting that the walls were incredibly thin and the sliding door looked right out onto the pool area, leading to a diminished sense of privacy. Furthermore, I wished for more storage space in the room... it ended up becoming cluttered just because of a lack of surfaces/shelves/drawers to put things in.

The staff were wonderful 😊 nothing was too much trouble 😊 wonderful room and layout of the gardens and pool area. Walking distance to town (five minutes) Breakfast, meals and wine were excellent. We had our well behaved dog with us and he loved it too 🐕😊 A big thanks to all the staff, we will see you again 😊😎 Peter and Jennifer

Excellent location, very pretty and peaceful. Nice pool and jacuzzi. Lovely lounge area with a fire pit and board games.

Room was on the smaller side and didn’t have many hangers - also provided just three towels.

Unfortunately the pictures are pretty misleading, there are no fires or nice lights in the public area/ restaurants The swimming pool was empty The room has very little natural light, but unfortunately the lights available to use were not the ambient lights in the picture, but a dim ceiling light
