Hot Tuna Surfers Rest Midigama

Looooved my stay here. I ended up here last-minute after another property I booked cancelled last minute and I'm so glad. I took a room with a fan and it also happened to be closest to the road. Yes, there was noise but I didn't mind it at all, including the Tuesday night party at Lazies. I used earplugs sometimes but I actually liked the hum of the background noise, including the trains passing by a few times a day - you will hear them in any place close to the main road. I planned to stay for 3 nights and ended up staying for 6, and returning for 5 more a week later. The location is so convenient: Midigama is small (and magical!) but there's something nice about being able to literally roll on and off the beach from your accommodation. Loved the outside shower too. The room was spacious and well-appointed - I liked that it had shelves, a desk, a couple of chairs and a drying rack. I had no problems with power and was able to work on the wifi. The balconies are big and nice and private. I felt it was really good value for money. Cold water only in my bathroom but as I needed 4 cold showers a day due to the heat, this was perfect for me. All in all, a great spot run by a nice family who are there if you need help but otherwise leave you to it.

The room wasn't cleaned during either stay but I didn't bother me too much - I think you could probably ask for cleaning. The balconies were cleaned every day.

Location, price, cleanliness

Such a spacious one room apartment with spacious bathroom, cozy bed and AC & fan right at the beach and super kind owners! Appreciated the stay a lot and recommend 100%

Everything. Mainly the location, the bed, the whole room was very comfortable plus it’s right across the road from a lovely beach

The shower was a tiny bit dribbly but other than that perfect room
