Authentic Bali, Done Right

You simply cannot go to Bali without staying at Tejaprana Resort & Spa. The entire concept is beautifully designed and perfectly blended with nature, creating a peaceful, almost unreal atmosphere in the middle of the forest. I’ve seen some people mention geckos as a negative, but I honestly don’t see it that way at all. You are in the middle of the forest, that’s part of the experience. Geckos are tiny, harmless, and actually helpful since they eat bugs. I personally didn’t have any issues with them entering the room, and even if they did, I wouldn’t mind. It only adds to the authenticity of being surrounded by nature. The hospitality deserves special recognition. The staff is simply outstanding. Everyone is incredibly polite, warm, and genuinely caring. At times, I was almost ashamed of myself by how kind and respectful they were. They consistently go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and comfortable. And the food is absolutely exceptional. I honestly did not expect it to be this good. Every meal was beautifully served, full of flavor, and thoughtfully prepared. A special thank you to Ngakan Triana, who was exceptionally helpful and attentive. His professionalism and kindness truly made a difference and elevated the whole experience.

Peaceful, relaxing and beautiful hotel. Unforgettable

We stayed there for 5 nights and we would have even stayed longer. I was travelling being pregnant and I was a bit worried about food and mosquitos and surprisingly, despite of being in the middle of the jungle, there were not mosquitos in the resort, even being the rain season. The team really took care of me and adapted the breakfast and other meals to my needs providing whole pieces of fruits, instead of sliced ones among other details. It is very close to Ubud so we could move easily. Also located very near to the Tegallalang rice fields. The swimming pool both in the villa the main one had amazing views. Really lovely hotel to stay and relay, great breakfast, the villas were fantastic and beds very comfortable. All perfect! Free yoga classes twice per week. I stayed 5 times in Ubud and this is definitely the best one.

Beautiful resort!

The room and all the surroundings were absolutely magical and stunning but what made our stay so special was definitely the friendliness of all the staff we came across. We ate a couple of meals at the restaurant too which were wonderful and the spa is amazing too! We can't wait to come back

Pretty much everything, everyone working there were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were stunning and the facilities were great. We had a spa/massage and that was awesome, we would highly recommend this hote to everyone we know coming to Bali.

We ordered room service a few times, while it came to us nice a quick, some of the food we ordered was not the best and could be improved.

Perfect family stay

We really enjoyed staying at the resort. All the details are well thought out, it's cozy and exudes peace. Very delicious breakfast - the only difficulty is that the menu is very extensive, you want to try everything! The shared pool is perfectly organized, you can have lunch and admire the views of nature. The private pool is greeted by flowers that have fallen overnight. The massages are great. The area is beautifully lit in the evening. The children really enjoyed reading stories, which are given every evening.

Just incredible!

The resort was so peaceful and comfortable. We enjoyed every bit of our stay here and would happily return. The staff was incredibly accommodating and strove to make our stay as wonderful as possible.

When we arrived, the air conditioning hadn't been turned on prior to our arrival so the room was a bit stuffy. This was remedied in a few hours when the air was regulated. Other than that, everything was wonderful.

A perfect, luxury, relaxing stay in the rainforest so close to Ubud

Absolutely amazing, perfect stay at Tejaprana for my 40th birthday. Our room with private pool overlooked the rainforest valley, full of bird song and so peaceful. The staff were just brilliant — so helpful, friendly, made everything so special without being imposing. Breakfast was delicious, the Balinese dinner and traditional dance experience was a highlight. The resort pool was a relaxing, peacefully place to lounge around reading and just a 20 min taxi from Ubud town. Highly recommend!

Only go there if you are happy to stay at resort for everything, eat, spa etc.nothing in walking distance. Dangerous to walk on roads.First night in restaurant we were only people eating, no atmosphere. Took 30 minutes to get into Ubud centre. Which we had stayed closer to Ubud.

The restaurant staff was amazing, like family. Especially Dera, Ari Anna, and the rest. The jungle view from the room was mesmerizing. The Bali massage was terrific. The food was very good and we enjoyed dancing to live music on BBQ night.

Beautiful views

The room and view were beautiful and the staff were very friendly. They deliver a bedtime story each night which was a lovely touch. The free yoga session was fantastic and the instructor was great! The bath outside is lovely as you can look out to the beautiful view. The spa is a credit to this hotel, the staff are friendly and the massages we had were one of the best we’ve had!

The location is a little way out of Ubud which isn’t too much of a problem if you have a bike. The breakfast was poor, we tried different things and they were all very average at best. If you have a jungle view room there are rooms behind which can be noisy due to the roof being thin. Unfortunately you get very little to no sun on the terrace and the pool.

Our stay was absolutely perfect from beginning to end. The scenery is breathtaking, especially ideal for couples looking for a romantic getaway. It felt like a peaceful escape surrounded by nature’s beauty. The food was also really good, every meal was satisfying and delicious. But what truly made our stay special was the excellent staff. Every single team member we encountered was incredibly accommodating, friendly, and attentive. They made us feel genuinely welcome and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We also appreciated the thoughtful little details like how there were umbrellas available everywhere, which was especially helpful when it rained. It’s those kinds of touches that show how much care goes into making guests feel comfortable. We honestly wish we could have extended our stay. It was one of those trips you never want to end. We’ll definitely be coming back!

If we had to mention one thing that could be improved, it would be the plunge pool. While it was a lovely feature, we wished it had been heated, especially given the cooler mountain climate. It would have made the experience even more relaxing.

The staff is the best thing about this hotel. They are very welcoming and helpful. It was the best service we have ever gotten. Food was also fantastic from the breakfast to the ALA carte menu. Try the dendeng balado. I humbly recommend.

Firstly the room is very clean and comfortable. But if I had to nitpick, upon arrival we noticed there were water stains on the curtains maybe due to rain or splashes from the pool. Other than that, we could not find a fault. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

Tejaprana Resort is pure magic. Nestled above a lush valley, our villa had breathtaking views and a private plunge pool where we could soak in the sounds of Bali; chirping birds, rustling leaves, and the distant hum of life. The tranquility here is unmatched. Morning yoga surrounded by nature set the tone for peaceful, soul-nourishing days. Every moment felt like a retreat from the world. Outstanding - can’t rate it highly enough.

This was the most outstanding resort we have ever stayed in. You are literally transported into paradise the second you enter the resort. The staff treat you like royalty and could not be more accommodating. The rooms and views are out of this world. They are clean, beautifully presented, comfortable and private with a luxury feel. The restaurant and food are outstanding. There really is nothing bad to say about this beautiful place. We were absolutely blown away.

The only niggle was with it being so close a temple, the noise was very loud one evening with banging drums and people screaming down a microphone it seemed. Men literally screaming like they were in pain. This is obviously not a fault of the hotel but does slightly impact the location unfortunately.

The Valley (jungle) View room was secluded and serene, offering an exceptional view from the private pool. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of options to choose from. The free yoga session is a must, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive — we couldn’t have asked for more.

The hotel is approximately 20 minutes Grab drive from the Ubud city centre which costs about $7AUD single trip from the hotel to the city centre.

Absolutely gorgeous room with beautiful jungle view, plenty of space and amazing outside pool and bathtub. Perfect for a romantic getaway. It's close to centre of Ubud, less than 10 minutes on motorbike. The staff was very helpful and we had an amazing stay.
