Gasthof Menke har en vidunderlig beliggenhed på Lüneburger Heide med flere gode vandremuligheder. Værelserne er fine og morgenmaden er OK. Men det er altså den fantastiske beliggende, som gør det ophold attraktivt! Det handler ikke blot om en gåtur til det berømte Wilseder Berg, men prøv også en tur til Tütsberg!
Stedet er en smule slidt, men set i forhold til prisen er det bestemt OK. Morgenmaden er ikke fantastisk, men igen er der et fornuftigt forhold imellem pris og kvalitet. Hvis du kommer i aspargessæsonen, er det nogle helt fantastiske muligheder: prøv deres hedefår med asparges, kartofler - og lam!

Beliggenhed helt i top med masser af mulighed for vandring, løb eller hestevognstur. Restauranten havde gode retter både til børn og voksne Maden var veltillavet. Morgenmaden var fin, dog var brødet lidt kedeligt standard bake off.

Great location just in the middle of the nature and in close vicinity with some other towns with restaurants etc.
The staff doesn’t speak English. Paying by card at the bar is often a problem, they want cash. The kids playground is neglected and falling apart. The rooms would need quite some renovation The restaurant is quite expensive
