From the lively first floor area all the way to the stunning rooftop view of the Parisian city, I loved my "The People" experience. Everyone on staff was hardworking and ready to answer any questions, especially the group that changed the bedding and made sure rooms were spotless each morning . The location is difficult to beat and is rich in culture, great restaurants, and countless activities. Grateful that places like this exist and would be honored to be back in the future!
Bathrooms were clean but could have smelled a little better.

all staff are extremely friendly and consistently go out of their way to assist.
The heating in room 402 was very bad. I had to call reception and report it many times during my stay because the room was extremely cold. After the trip, I ended up catching a cold 😷 because of it. I hope this can be properly fixed, especially during winter 🥶.

Overall I would say it was really fine, if you plan to be out on activities for the day and not planning to stay as much at the hostel it’s good enough. I had a mixed 6 (woman only) room & didn’t see the other people that much. The bathrooms were shared as well but also for woman only, must say it was cleaned very well. You should bring some slippers tho!
the bed was comfortable and the curtains were light dimming which was perfect. The room has small shelves for ur stuff and something to hang ur jackets.
The lockers were spacious enough, I had a backpack + smaller suitcase w me (bring a lock).
It’s not that far from the nearest metro or bus station and u have plenty shops in walking distants, as well as supermarkets. The staff was super helpful and very friendly, spoke excellent English. U can get fast to places by taking the train, even tho it looks quiet far on the map.
As a shorter girl it was quite the effort to get myself into bed, I also felt that when other people got into bed (lower half of the bunkbeds) the whole bed was shaking. I needed to pull myself inside while holding the sides of the bed. Which was not nice in the morning.
As well for the mirrors in the bathrooms, I could nearly not see myself which was hard with getting ready. It was my first time traveling solo, the area can be quite sketchy in the night I didn’t go out after 9pm, but that’s just me. It’s also dirty outside (trash on the floor and bad smell). The walls of the room could maintain some renovation.. I’m pretty sure there was mold behind me.

The staff is rude, even dismissive. I still don't get the refunding I payed for the towel. There is no kitchen.

The staff was really really lovely and the hostel was very clean. Location wasn’t the best but close to metro
It was absolutely freezing. I didn’t shower for my two days stay because the bathroom was an ice box. There was also a loud fan right above my bed, not only was it loud but also blew a cool air. I wish there were more blankets to keep warm (I visited in November). The lack of luggage storage facilities (coins only) was extremely inconvenient, I had to go to another part of town to store my luggage.
Overall - bed was clean and nice but everything else felt like a disappointment.

Liked the breakfast and common area.
It was a little bit too cold in the room during the night and heaters didn't work properly.

The beds were comfortable and I liked the privacy with the curtains, as well as the lockers (don't forget your padlock). It's easily accessible from metro Belleville and there's lots of restaurants and shops around. There's a bedlight and power station.
The breakfast is extremely overpriced for what you get, unless you just want a quick breakfast in the morning without going anywhere. There's no vegan options other than an apple as well. For gluten allergic people you have an apple and some yoghurt/raisins, but not much else. There were cleaners but they were calling while on duty and just swooped the floor with some type of bleach, leaving behind the hairs and nasty's in the toilets and showers. Also there's dirt under the beds that seems old. The rooms are tiny. Also, if you're at the first floor you might be disturbed by the noise at night. Paris is expensive, so it's the cheapest option you get, but there's a lot of room to improve to make the money and experience more worthwile.

The staff was nice and always willing to help the best they could.
A large storage space you could put your valuables in and lock with your own lock.
The breakfast was good.
They do not have a laundry room.
The room I was in was a little small, though it was manageable. At times it got kind of ripe (smelly) in the room, fortunately, the windows could be opened a crack.
The breakfast could have some different things on different days, though it is not that big of a deal. The XL breakfast ended a little early for me (10:00.)

Very pleasant stay, facilities were modern and clean, the bed was comfortable, common areas were nice, good location easy to catch the metro to any sightseeing, and plenty of restaurants around the hostel.
My bed did not have electric outlet as some of the beds had

I like the fact that it was clean. My roommates were canny. Thankfully, they didn’t snore. That made it a 10/10
I saw a mosquito but I killed it. I think it’s because my roommate left the window open. I closed the window and we didn’t see any mosquitoes afterward.

Friendly staff. Lovely rooftop. Cleanliness was OK. Bathroom had hairdryer. Bed linen is included. I’d also say it’s a rather safe place for leaving things in the room. There is also a free locker for each bed, but you need your own lock. You can also rent lockers.
3min to metro. Surroundings didn’t feel dangerous.
The upper bed has a narrow ladder and not a lot of holding spaces. I’m very short, so the narrow ladder steps, placed far apart, were rather dangerous for me.

Unexpectedly very comfortable stay. Was afraid when recognized that it is a hostel, but turned very good and nice. We had a small double room at the top floor with access to common terrace providing good view and absolutely not noisy at evening and night. The room was small, but comfortable enough and who cares about the room size visiting Paris :)
Coffee maker and kettle were provided and AC allowed to be comfortable during quite hot weather.
Communication and check-in were simple and quick. The location is convenient being not far from Gare du Nord and close metro stations.

Nice staff, speaks decent english. Beds are big and comfortable. Private wall outlet next to your bed is great. Location is on small walking distance from the metro.
The lockers in the room are very loud. Even when not in use, when someone turned around in their bed the locker door makes a lot of noise what was very frustrating. The mans badroom also had a stinky smell

Very clean and the staff was very helpful and nice. Easy check in and check out process. The location was very good as there is a nearby metro station, so even far away destinations were not so hard to reach.
The first night there was some loud roommates, but the other nights were just fine.

The room was dirty. The bed so uncomfortable I got back ache. The breakfast which I had paid for for 4 days I could not eat as only contained dairy & wheat. ( I’m allergic to both). The staff - some were charming and others so rude. The bathrooms were also dirty. I left after one night, complained to the manager and got told NO refund would be given even for the breakfast - a sure sign I had made the right decision to leave .

nice staff and atmosphere.friendly people ,good music entetainment every night and nice outdoor space.shared dorm was comfortable and reasonably private because of bed curtains.toilets and showers clean.
only one disappointment.i booked the superior dorm for 2 nights on the top floor for its space and extras but didnt get it!
turned up on the day and room had been given to someone else despite my booking confirmation .
Ended up accepting 1st floor dark 8 bed dorm out of desperation which was a big let down and then asked to move to different 4 bed dorm on 2nd night due to loudest snorer I have ever heard (which is why i wanted the superior in the first place)
staff was apologetic and at least they gave me free breakfast (and padlock)
hostel and people were nice and was a comfortable place for 2 nights but bit let down by the booking error

The location is quite convenient, just a 5-minute walk from the subway. The hotel arranges some music-themed activities every day. It's karaoke on Monday and jazz music on Wednesday. Overall, it's great and highly recommended!

The rooms were nice and warm during winter. Receptionists were welcoming, helpful and easy to get along with. There is a luggage storage downstairs (4 euro for small locker, 5 euro for a big one).
Getting on the top bed was quite difficult. You had to grab a material string, which can be seen on photos. Except for that, the stay was great.

The mattresses were really comfortable and the bathrooms were very nice and clean. The water pressure in the showers were great and there is a hairdryer in the bathroom too. They also give you a towel for free. It’s great that the hostel in only a few minutes walk from the metro and they also give you a few local places that are good to visit (e.g. bakeries).
I was disappointed that there was no kitchen, I asked to put a container in the fridge overnight and they refused. There’s also no shower products in the bathroom. The rooms are quite cramped and small. The bottom bunk bed was oddly high because the lockers were right underneath my bed (not all bottom bunks are designed this way though). It was a bit uncomfortable to get on and off of my bed. The light in the room is terrible, after sunset even when you turn the light on you can barely see anything.

Cool area of Paris - easy to get to on the metro from central station, 5 mins walk to two different metro stops. Markets on multiple days of the week just outside. Good social hostel nice bar good food and free drink voucher encourages travellers to have a bar, great way to meet people.
Nothing! No complaints from me at all!

Nothing.
Men's bathroom on the 5th floor was not cleaned at all during my stay and the women's bathroom door was kept open for some reason and the corridor smelled of urine. The cleaners were extremely rude, on the morning of my check out one of them hit my foot with her vaccum cleaner while cleaning the room and told me to check out immediately and not at 12 noon if I am gonna check out at all. This happened at 10am.
The location is bad, the streets outside smell of urine and Belleville neighbourhood is a well known ghetto with lots of would be criminals hanging about 24/7. The room I was in had air conditioning running from the vent, but because it was next to the bathrooms it emitted smell of toilet throughout the day into my bed area--the vent is right above the bed C and D, which was mine. For this lovely experience, I paid almost 40 euros and I think was a little too much. But you be the judge.
