Professionally cleaned between guests, this Urban Sanctuary is an oasis in the middle of the city. Gorgeous luxury renovation with high end finishes. English basement, exposed brick, heated floors (bed/ bath), 1 bed/bath, sofabed. In the heart of Capitol Hill! Walking distance to 2 metros (Union Station & Eastern Market), restaurants & nightlife! Light filled space comfortably fits 2, but can accommodate 4 (with sofabed). (Please note -- additional guests over 2 incur an additional $25/person per night.)
Guests' space is completely private with separate entrance (front & back), all amenities included - cable/WiFi, gourmet kitchen, washer/dryer, heated floors (bedroom/bathroom). Conveniently located and designed to accommodate business travelers and visitors alike.
One block from public bus, Capitol Bikeshare, 8 blocks from 2 metro lines (Union Station & Eastern Market), and 2 blocks from the H Street trolley, and 4 blocks from Whole Foods. Street parking (with restrictions). Walk score of 94. Please contact me a week in advance if you have a car. Street parking requires a premier (for longer than 2 hours), which may incur an additional cost.
I spent 2 years lovingly rebuilding this space in an 1890s historic row house to make it incredible. Every attention to detail, to include solar panels for the house. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do, and make it your home away from home - enriching your visit with fond memories of DC, the neighborhood and the Urban Sanctuary. No pets, no smoking, not more than 4 guests. Kindly ask that you treat this like your home & care for the space and the community (neighbors & the environment). Note - parking is limited to street parking (with restrictions). No parties, please tidy after your visit, if coming/going late please be respectful, and please be a kind steward of the environment. Most importantly, welcome home!

We had a wonderful 6 night stay in the aptly named, Urban Sanctuary. It's located on a quiet residential street, but is a short walk to shops, groceries and restaurants. We were very busy during our time there, visiting with old friends and sight seeing. It was great to come back 'home' to our apartment and to wake up there each morning. It was comfortable and cozy and Jamie has thought of everything to make staying there easy and relaxing. She shares her knowledge of the area and city and even does a little research to make sure she gives you the most timely information! We highly recommend staying at Urban Sanctuary!

Urban sanctuary was as described—we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! Jamie was a wonderful host— we were greeted with a kind note and she was very accommodating. The location was convenient to the bus stop, Aldi and Whole Foods. Thank you Jamie!!

This location is an easy 15-20 minute walk from Union Station, less than a mile from the US Capitol, and if you are a walker about 2 miles from the end of the Mall. The bus line is just on the corner and Uber is a very close drive to virtually any location in DC. Two blocks over on H Street is a Whole Foods and lots of restaurants. The lodging has everything you will need from a full kitchen, a very quiet washer and dryer, and heated floor bathroom. It is truly a nice quiet place to return at the end of a very busy day.Jamie, the host, was fantastic. She met us when we arrived with a nice bottle of Proseco and extra shampoo. She was available, if needed. There is a white binder with all the information about the apartment and the area. Highly recommend staying here.

Jamie was a fantastic host! She checked in on us and even brought us some snacks! The apartment was newly remodeled and well put together. We stayed for 7 days while exploring DC. 2 blocks to the “H street Streetcar” that was free and only 3 stops to Union station where you can get anywhere. Also an easy address for Uber drivers to find.
