The Last Hotel Nampo

The staff were friendly and the location was fantastic! The bed was very comfortable and quite spacious and the TV could connect to the PC so that was pretty useful for youtube and things. The bathroom was fine, and the bathrobes were a nice touch. There were also toiletries available, such as hairspray, toothbrushes, etc. which I didn't anticipate.

The room wasn't the cleanest; there was a lot of dust and the bathroom mirror was actually dirty when I arrived. Some furniture was quite scuffed too but I didn't spend a lot of time in the room so it was alright. One thing that I was surprised by was the lack of wardrobe or clothing storage in the room; there was nowhere to hang up clothes which wasn't ideal.

The room and bathroom were very spacious—especially for the price. Compared to similar stays in Seoul, this hotel offers more room at a lower cost. The location is excellent, right on a lively shopping street with easy access to food, shops, and transport. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, assisting us with directions and extra towels when requested. There’s an escalator entrance at the back of the building, which helps with access if you’re carrying luggage or have difficulty with stairs.

The hotel appears to be more of a love motel. This wasn’t mentioned in the description and might not suit all travelers. Noticed that most guests seemed to be local couples. The walls are extremely thin, you can clearly hear conversations (and sounds of lovemaking) from neighboring rooms. The mattress was very firm, almost like sleeping on a wooden plank. The toilet was loose and rocked slightly when in use, possibly due to an uneven floor or poor installation. It also had clogging issues, though there was a plunger conveniently placed nearby—suggesting it’s a recurring issue. The water pressure in the bathroom was weak as well. Room cleanliness could be improved. The matte black walls showed dust and marks, and a simple wipe-down would’ve helped. As mentioned, it's located on a hill. If you're traveling with someone who uses a wheelchair or has limited mobility, getting to and from the hotel might be challenging.
