One of my worst experiences

The location, as it is inside the old town. However you will need to go over a lot of stairs to arrive to the place

We stayed 3 nights and they never cleaned the room, and they didn’t have soap or shampoo (I can accept that) The checkout is at 10 AM, a bit earlier than normal. At 10.01 the guy knocked at our door and immediately he started trying to open the door (my wife and I were undressed). We asked him to leave some time to finish preparing our luggage. He started being really rude and even went into the room to take the bed sheets, towels and other stuff. I understand that the checkout was at 10 AM (usually is 11 AM), but I rarely see places that force you to leave immediately at that time, and even worse becoming angry, starting being so rude, and forcing into the room. He never showed a single sign of politeness. You can try to justify yourself, but nothing justifies all the above Awful personnel after staying 3 days without any service at all

Nice little apartment in the old town

Really nice little apartment, remained cool in very hot weather, in a great location in the old city.

The welcome from staff could have been warmer. The shower is quite small and the apartment was expensive.

Lovely small apartment

Great communication from our host Vedran. Let us get in early on check-in and leave our bags there for a few hours on check-out. Lovely smallish top floor room, with everything you need. Location was great, especially once we found the way without going up lots of steep steps. If you follow the city walls both up and down to Stradun, it's not as steep as the more direct way. Highly recommended.

Great location stay in old town

Great location in old town. Lots of steps/walking to get to it but was a quieter area so worth it. Air conditioning was great as was needed in the summer. Cheapest I could find in old town and was a great spot so relatively good value. Short walk to all the sites.

If you’re a light sleeper I would bring ear plugs. You can hear noise from neighbors and the streets but a fairly quiet part of town so wasn’t really a problem.

Super pretty and clean lovely little apartment in a great location in the Old City of Dubrovnik

This is a sweet, charming little place in the old city. It is super clean and inviting. The hosts are fantastic. They met us at the place on our schedule and were able to accommodate us with some special requests. On arrival the host gave us information about the old city and suggested some restaurants. She was very nice and helpful. The apartment is not large but more than enough for the two of us. The location in the city is great. It is right next to the sea wall. We were able to quickly walk to Buza Beach for swimming after spending the day touring.

The only thing I can think of not liking was the shower. The shower itself was lovely. Great pressure, perfect temperature, However, it is only enclosed by a curtain and the curtain was not long enough. So every time we showered, the bathroom floor would get quite soaked. The dryness of Dubrovnik in July helped the situation quickly enough though!

Bedbugs!!!

We stayed here from July 10 to 12. Hence, upon leaving, we discovered bedbugs in the bed that we didn’t saw before unfortunately. Departure day nobody came to check on us we had to leave since our flight was imminent and I sent a complaint to booking since I made through it. We had to throw away our luggage and a lot of valuable items to not contaminate our place. Result the property refused to compensate and not even an apology. Room in the first floor right in front of the stairs

Wasn’t clean at all. They might be cleaning but the bedbugs were still around!!!!!

Everything about it is great: location, comfort, good bathroom, good facilities, convenient self check-in. People who complain about having to climb stairs with inconvenient wheeled suitcases should research Dubrovnik before going there.

Price is steep, although it’s in line with the rest of Dubrovnik, which is incredibly expensive and overpriced.

Perfect location in the Old Town and great amenities

Couldn’t find a fault with the property. It’s in a perfect location, 5 mins walk from everything within the Old Town and also right next to two great recommendations from the owner - Buza Bar and Rudjer Restaurant. He met us on arrival, which was way before check-in to take our luggage. As it happened, the room was ready at about 11am so we were able to check-in early, which was a lovely bonus. The apartment had everything we needed - a comfortable double bed, decent-sized bathroom, spacious fridge, hob and kettle (plus coffee and various other bits). Chocolates and sweets also provided on arrival, which was a nice touch!

No issues at all for us, although if you struggle with steps then it may not be ideal for you

There are quite a few steps to reach the property which wasn’t an issue for any of us, but could be for some people.

Good value for money, but be prepared to be woken up early.

The host was very friendly and helpful, if we needed anything we just messaged him and he would sort it out. The air con worked perfectly, and it was also good to have a fridge as we had very hot weather. The shutters on the windows were great to keep the room dark, so we didn’t get woken early. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.

The cleanliness could be improved, we had to go round with some anti bac wipes as there was still dust on bedside tables, shelf, desk, hairs in the bathroom. Got woke up early most mornings because you can hear guests in the apartment above walking around, or you can hear the guests in the apartment next to you, or the cleaner coming up and down the stairs, or hoovering. Impossible to get a lay in which became very annoying. Bathroom, kitchenette and room are very small. When we pulled one of the drawers out the whole front of the drawer would come off. When having a shower I had the temperature set but it would fluctuate, one minute nearly burning me and then a few minutes later it would go colder again.

this is an old city apartment building with 5 rooms at the top of the stairs next to the fortress walls. it was well decorated, super clean. the woman who met me at city walls to show me the way was super helpful and nice.

this applies to top floor room no. 5 only. at least 1/3rd of the apt space is unusable to due to the A frame ceiling. there is maybe 1.5 feet of clearance from the ceiling to the head of bed. the aircon cannot keep up with the heat that travels up to top floor. (it was only 26C during day). i suggest adding a fan. it is a nice apt but these are details that matter to some.

A very good find for Dubrovnik Old Town!

The host was very friendly, and she met us at Poce Gate to take us to the apartment. The location of the apartmet was exceptional! Right in Old Town, and very close to all the interesting sites of Dubrovnik! The apratment was cozy, and had everything we needed, and more - including a small kichinette, good wifi connection, exceptional wate pressure in teh shower and a smart TV with Netflix for the evenings! What more could we ask for?!

Excellent location, good host

Our host went out-of his way to receive us and explain all the aspects about the property. The location was excellent. Very close to main attractions. Like everywhere in old town you have to climb steps to get to a property. All facilities were provided as described, and we had a towel change after couple of days. Managed to store our luggage past our check out time. There is not much noise from the street too.

The apartment is not 'sound proff' as described by people in the reviews. Ie you can hear footsteps from other rooms. But this did not bother us as it was only once. Like every city centre based apartment, this was expected.

Lovely apartment in a great location with super helpful staff.

Very clean and well equipped. Only a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Old Town. The gentleman met us from the taxi and helped carry the cases to the apartment - even offered to help us back to the taxi early in the morning on our departure day, as he knew one of the guests had mobility problems. He gave great recommendations and was happy to be contacted throughout the stay.

The room on the top floor was well furnished with a comfortable bed but it’s not a king size one, as written, a small kitchenette, and a shower. Its size is max for 2 people. It was clean but there was still some dust on the night tables and under the bed. The host Marija waited for our arrival and was kind and helpful.

Even though the price was stated in EUR on booking.com, we were charged in Kunas from our credit card which caused a fee of additional EUR 5.45. This was really not customer friendly. Else, the house was located on the top level of the the city wall, so there were many stairs to climb! I would not recommend this place to people with heavy luggages. ! Better to find a place closer to the main road "Stradun". At least, we had unpleasant smell in the bathroom.
