Feels like a beautiful and cozy farmhouse stay

Very beautiful and cozy property. We stayed in winter right after the new year. It just felt like home but with some additional perks 😬 Very well maintained, friendly staff and the location was very close to the centre. They also provided us with a free public transportation ticket for the days we stayed.

Nice place to stay away from the city.

The location includes an interlaken guest card. If you come during summer, Schynige Platte train stop is just nearby. There is a VOI Migros and Volg nearby which closes at around 7pm. They are open on Sunday as well.

Great stay

The breakfast buffet is nice, there's a lot of option including gluten free, fruits, etc. The room is as expected. There's also the free use of jacuzzi which we enjoyed a lot. Close proximity to other towns such Lauterbrunnen, Interlaken and Grindelwald.

Good hearty breakfast. Lovely garden. Best hot tub I've ever used and free. Appreciated the fridge in the hall on my floor. Liked having a sink in the room.

Good location and clean property.

Good clean property and very near to wilderswil station which is 5 min from interlaken. Just keep in kind first and last train. Very good breakfast. Good old style hotel.

Tourism travel card only from interlaken to wilderswil and vice versa. So can’t used outside.

Authentic lodge

Beautiful location in Between Lauterbrunen and Interlaken, extra points for the outdoor jacuzzi with stunning views.

We received a very small and old room, luckily the personal was very helpful and changed our room with a more spacious and comfortable one.

Cozy lodge with breathtaking balcony views at a great price.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Edelweiss Lodge. Our room had a charming balcony with a direct view of Jungfraujoch and Mönch—an unforgettable sight and an absolute luxury at this price point. Waking up to those majestic peaks was a highlight of our trip.

The wooden floors creak loudly, and you can hear every footstep from other guests. At night, this became quite disturbing, especially for light sleepers. Breakfast could have been better.

Lovely views and handy location

We stayed for 1 night and needed something close to Wilderswil station. The location was super handy for us. It had a lovely garden you can enjoy and great views of the mountains.

The floors were very creaky and loud. It’s quite an old building so understandable but annoying when trying to sleep and the rooms above are still awake.

There was nothing to complain about. Kind staff. There is a kettle in the room. Enough parking space. Good view from the room. Nice free breakfast. There were 2 bathrooms on the floor that we could use.

It was quite hot when we were there and the fan we got, was really small.

Location was good near the wilderswil station 4 to 5 min distance. Room,bathroom & balcony were really spacious. Breakfast also very good & delicious ( cheese egg & cheese). Luggage storage facility available till night 10 o’clock.

Charming guesthouse in a beautiful village

A charming building with beautiful gardens. The views were in stunning. We loved having the train station only a few minutes walk which took to all the surrounding areas. Good breakfast too.

A little refresh in the bedroom would elevate the experience.

I would stay there again

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms and common areas were clean. Breakfast was excellent. The location was right in the heart of the Jungfrau region, making it very easy to reach everywhere. Great value for money

However, the building is old and has three floors with no elevator. If climbing stairs is an issue for you, it may not be suitable.

A nice stay overall

The proper is quite beautful and very close to the train station of Wilderswil. As such, it is close to many of the Jungfrau region attractions. The breakfast was excellent and had vegetarian options.

Minor issue: This palce is quite expensive and only has shared bathrooms. For solo travelers who can adjust a bit, finding more affordable accommodation in Interlaken might be reasonable.

A nice village stay in a family heritage hotel with great communication.

The location, the comfortable bed and the house itself. The staff in reception is very helpful in guiding the local trips.

Amazing place and stay

Such a lovely lodge this is. The view from our window is out of words. Very calm and local neighbourhood. Reception staff were lovely and welcoming. I highly recommend, this gives us an traditional Swiss house feel.

Quirky Hotel with Great Breakfast

Staff were excellent. This was a 'quirky' hotel with beutiful gardens and a jacuzzi. Breakfast was excellent

The hotel was adequate and in fairness we appreciated we booked 'shared bathroom' but on the 3rd floor we had no facilities, there were 2 bathrooms on the 2nd floor but these were busy, so a walk to the first loor was necessary. The hotel was 'quirky' and age was showing

I liked being in Wilderswil away from the crowded tourist town of Interlocken. Edelweiss Lodge was a short walk from the train station so was a great location. The property was old but had a quaint feel and the garden out back and the view of the Jungfrau were amazing! I enjoyed the breakfast and coffee machine with all the different options. We also enjoyed the jacuzzi, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The floors were creaky which goes along with an older building . It was not really a problem. It was also hot in the rooms because of the heat wave Switzerland was experiencing while we were there, but they did provide fans and it was cooler in the mornings

A perfect fit for my mom’s dream trip to Switzerland.

Edelweiss was the home base for me and my mom’s Swiss dream trip, and I would say it exceeded our expectations. Centrally located if you intend to the explore the Bernese Oberland region, every part of the lodge exudes quintessential Swiss charm—stunning alpine views included. It was oh-so-quiet, the rooms simple but complete, comfortable, and clean. The included breakfast would have been a huge plus even if it were only acceptable in quality, but it was delicious and the spread was impressively varied. Sofia (not sure of the spelling!) was so kind and helpful from the moment we arrived, offering lots of advice for local sightseeing and even going so far as to prepare ice bags for me after an unfortunate (but luckily not trip-ending!) foot injury. Thanks to all at Edelweiss who made our stay a special one!

Good location and good value for the money.

The place is a remodel house made an hotel so you can not expect luxury and that’s why it is not advertised so. The location is very convenient and the place is clean and your basics are covered (towels, soap, kettle, coffee and tea). My only “complaint” would be the breakfast, I wish they would served scrambled eggs as an option.

Great stay. Hotel was great, and Wilderswil is beautiful and very well connected,

The hotel clerk was very helpful and kind with a misunderstanding regarding private or shared bathroom, allowing us a change of room the last days to avoid sharing the toilet. Edelweiss Lodge is the original hotel, joined to the Alpenrose Hotel which is the modern section.

Shared bathrooms but very clean and always available when I needed one. The breakfast was very comprehensive with lots of great options. Staff were very friendly and helpful with hiking tips. Loved the back garden and hot tub. Great location for accessing Interlaken, Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen
