The apartment is in a quiet location, far from the train station, but close to the mountains and the start of several great hiking trails

The apartment is on the semi-basement level, so it’s quite dark. There are too many beds in the room, which makes it feel very cramped. Be careful with the hot water in the bathroom—the temperature changes suddenly, and even a slight turn of the tap can make the water scalding hot

Cozy, bright rooms. Good ventilation if you open several windows. Good view. Water was heated fast, the pressure was fine. Fast Wi-Fi. Power sockets everywhere.

The beds could be more comfortable. Also, since the rooms are very bright and there are no curtains, I recommend getting a mask, or you will have to wake up early (5-6 a.m.).

La casa si trova a ridosso di un ruscello immersa nella natura, ma per raggiungere il centro bisogna percorrere un kilometro a piedi. La casa è dotata di tutto il necessario. Il parcheggio privato è un valore aggiunto!

The location was excellent, with easy access to the Tatra mountains, the bus station, a gas station, food options, and local markets. The landlords were very forthcoming and open, always ready to help whenever we had a question or raised a problem, which made us feel welcome and well taken care of.

The main issue for us was the lack of proper ventilation and air circulation in the apartment. When using the gas stove, the room quickly filled with a strong smell, and since there was no leak detector at first, we didn’t feel safe using it. After mentioning this to the landlords, they kindly provided us with an electronic stove, but unfortunately, that also broke down, leaving us without a reliable option to cook meals at home — which had been one of the main reasons we chose the apartment. Later, after our request, they brought us a portable gas detector, which actually did register gas once turned on, confirming our concerns. The ventilation problem also affected the bathroom, which stayed moist and developed a strong odor. Towels, if left inside, remained damp and unpleasant to use, and we also noticed some mold on the lower part of the wooden doorframe. Additionally, the refrigerator was slightly leaking and not cooling properly. It was fine for short-term storage of items like yogurt or drinks, but not cold enough for things like dumplings or meat.
