Location is central and very rustic decor - traditional Portuguese home. Apartment was clean and facilitates are good! Amazing views too!
Situated in the old town, stairs cannot be avoided - we struggled with our big luggages. So, do manage your expectations!

It was very cool to explore this ancient place, every detail, we would like to stay there longer! The area is also interesting to explore. The apartments were clean and there was everything we needed.

The balcony had a great view, and the location was convenient and yet surprisingly quiet. The larger bedroom was very pleasant. Service and communications were prompt. Having the use of a smartphone and a key code instead of keys was very convenient. We also enjoyed the cheese and wine provided on arrival. Alfama is a super place to stay, and we enjoyed being able to see a bit of the river and hearing strains of music from the nearby viewpoint.
The decor is a bit sparse, and the kitchen could have been better-equipped - for instance, with a sharp knife other than just a single bread knife and a better corkscrew. The living room definitely needs more lighting. The smaller bedroom was adequate but rather impractical.
