If you’re planning to visit Armenia, Tatev is a place you simply cannot miss. Although it’s one of the country’s most iconic destinations, the village itself is home to no more than 150 people, with a way of life centered much more around farming than tourism. Staying at Saro B&B made our visit even more special. Saro and, especially, his daughter Maro welcomed us with genuine warmth and hospitality that made us feel at home from the very first moment. We had dinner in the dining room, where Maro personally prepared a delicious homemade meal. We also enjoyed their homemade wine, and everything was fresh, authentic, and absolutely delicious. If you’re planning to spend a night in Tatev, I highly recommend considering Saro B&B. It’s a wonderful place to experience true Armenian hospitality. Bonus: We had a flat tire during our stay, and Maro immediately took the initiative to call someone who could help us. Her kindness and willingness to assist went far beyond what we expected. Very nice homestay. The owner and daughter were very friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent- everything was homemade using produce from their garden/farm. Located near Tatev Monastery. Food at their restaurant (next to the monastery) was delicious.

A little tricky to find as there was no sign at the entrance (we had to rely on GPS coordinates).
