Modern

I booked the Modern which is located on the 14th Floor of Mirador Mansion, Hong Kong, however on check-in, the owner has given me a similar room (2 single beds) at a flat called Valentine, on the 8th floor which is managed by the same owner. The room has been recently renovated, with large tiles on the floor and the wall. The toilet and shower are in the same room and the floor gets wet when you shower. Sandals are provided to use on the wet bathroom floor. The hot water system provides quick hot water after you turn it on. The water pressure is strong for a shower. There is a wall aircon unit and wall fan in the room to use. Outside the room there is a communal hot water supply. Tea and coffee are provided. There is also a microwave oven. There is also iron provided in the communal area, though I did not see an ironing board. Hong Kong phone charging cables are also provided in the communal area for guests who forgot their phone adaptor. The room has a small refrigerator, hair dryer, safebox and free wifi. The maid cleaned the room daily and the wet shower floor was always dried after cleaning. There is a bus stop opposite Mirador Mansion, where you can get the A21 bus to the international airport. Very convenient. Overall I am completely satisfied with the room I was given.

I found it hard to locate the place. Trip: Look for Mirador Mansion first. There is nothing on the ground floor mentioning Modern. You have to make your way to the office at Flat D1 on the 14th floor of Mirador Mansion, a high rise building. At peak hours there is a long queue for the lifts to the high rise building. Caution: don’t get the floor tile in your room wet as it can become very slippery, especially when using the thin, disposable room slippers provided (floor tile not slippery if you use the bathroom sandals). This is a high rise building with many tenants. A few of them dry their washings on the ceiling of the common corridor.

Parfait emplacement, très propre, climatisé, ainsi qu'un excellent accueil. Une petite chambre pratique, et avec fenêtre ! Parfait pour visiter quelques jours.

The staff helped me after I had to leave abruptly. They were very helpful. The location was lovely!!!!

The elevator is a bummer but manageable….
