Whalevue - Unit 2

The location and view through huge glass windows were spectacular. The hot water and size of the bath were fantastic. I didn’t do a lot of cooking but the facilities in the kitchen seemed good.

The vegetation around path and steps leading into unit were overgrown making the steps less than safe. This meant that you got wet walking in if it had rained and the steps never truly dried. The steps themselves didn’t all feel secure. I would not recommend to anyone who was less than steady on their feet. The rug in the lounge area moved easily, slipping, also curled up on one corner so was a bit of a hazard.

Great location within an easy walk to town cafes!

Classic beachside apartment- required airing on arrival as it smelt of former visitors’ meals (seafood).

Fantastic view! The balcony had been removed (we were told beforehand) & if it was my place, I wouldn’t replace it as the balcony would block that amazing view!! Super comfy bed. Great location to walk to town or walk to the port.

Needs a globe replaced over the stove. Stairs to access apartment might be an issue for an elderly person.

The view was amazing

On first booking a non-refundable stay we were advised that the deck was no longer in use. It's important that this is updated to now reflect that the deck is no longer there and was disappointed by this. Spider webs in bathroom, 2x toliet rolls for a 4 day stay for 3 people. Marks on sheets, and towels, big smears on glass right at eye level. Coffee machine advertised but no pods. Terrible beds with large dip. Asked 5 months prior for late checkout and then denied, although not a given it would have been nice to offer to push out check out by an hour. Disappointed by the cleanliness of this place overall.
