Handy to Esplanade, quiet and relaxed.
Very experienced owner/operator.
Mattress was foam, and not very comfortable for a good nights sleep.

The owner has a wealth of experience in the field especially organizing tours to Kgari island and any other place, with secret snorkeling places and swimming holes. Relaxing place to have as a base while in Hervey Bay. Good queenslander style residence with cooking facilities with short stroll to the beach ⛱️
Top Bunk is a bit tricky as expected with the dorm room I stayed in. Not too many rooms / guests; so it was good overall with out being cramped.

It was ok for the budget price, bed was reasonably comfortable. Was able to check in early and hang out a bit late until my flight time. Convenient location for food and shops.
Noisy, the double room is connected directly to the bunk room with opening at top of wall so you can hear absolutely everything, security isn't great with doors never locked and no staff around. Bugs inside to the point I had to go buy itch cream for my legs - not sure if mosquitos or bed bugs but incredibly uncomfortable and itchy. Glad I wasn't staying long.
