Dreamy Contentment

The property is basically right at the beach, so you have brekfast while looking at the waves. That was really stunning. We have dietary restrictions (no gluten) and we were able to get GF breakfasts at the property. Cleaning happened every day, the staff is friendly and there is a minimarket and restaurants within walking/driving distance. Two times in one week a group of capuchin monkeys dropped in for a visit. Really a beautiful place.

The internet has some room to improve, going to the bathroom in our room meant no signal. Not a particularly optimal situation. Luckily, we had Starlink, and with some creativity with a dustpan and some zip ties the problem was resolved, but it would be nice if there was no need to do this in the first place. But admittedly, our use case was a bit different to a regular guest here as we were working remotely, so if you want to just disconnect this will not be an issue as the internet is available.

We couldn't have asked for a better stay. The staff is so nice and the breakfast each morning was beautiful served in the garden area. We loved the beach and could walk for miles. Most of the time it was only us and our dogs. It was really great to be out of the high tourist area of Manual Antonio. The little town had a couple of good restaurants to choose from, which was perfect. Just a great stay all around.

Location is fantastic. RIGHT on the beach that is not very crowded. The breakfast in the morning was great with choice of eggs, omelet and pancakes. You cannot beat the view. Staff were helpful in finding sloths in the trees.

My only "complaint" is that it would be helpful to have a microwave in the kitchen and the wifi actually in our room was not great, but was fine just outside our room. Those inconveniences were very small and I would definitely stay here again.

The location was superb! Carmen is a friendly attentive host!

The bed was uncomfortable to us as it was pretty soft. This of course is perhaps a personal preference. The wooden window shutters didn’t work and it made for a daily hassle. Nice idea that should have been swapped out by now. We asked Carmen if breakfast was an added cost to our stay. She said she would check and didn’t get back to us so we made the mistake of assuming it was included. Getting the bill for our breakfast upon our return was shocking! Although the breakfasts were nice if included we did not find them worth the extra cost as they were very basic! We probably would have cooked up our own breakfasts had we known! Communication would have saved us the surprise bill!
