An absolutely beautiful, friendly place to stay. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff exceptional, the rooms were so unique and a great location! Breakfast was delicious! 😋

The Swasti Eco Cottages are situated in a lovely garden, with goats grazing, and with a lot of green privacy screening around each cottage. The wooden cottages provide ample room and are thoughtfully decorated to create an authentic experience. The atmosphere is very peaceful and the staff is very kind and helpful. We were with a. big family and friends group and the restaurant made a special treat for one of our family members who celebrated her birthday. The staff also found the mobile phone that one of my friends had not been able to find at departure and held it for us to collect.
The food is purely vegetarian and mostly based on the Western cuisine and tastes, which was a bit difficult for our Indonesian friends. I had not realised this when I did the booking.
We were with 4 people per cottage and they had only provided blankets for the main bed. When I asked them to put blankets on the other beds as well, the staff asked whether my friends needed them. As they were too polite, they declined. But they were cold during the night and only after I insisted that everyone should have a blanket on the second night, they were provided. I found this not very hospitable and did not understand why the staff was reluctant to provide a blanket for everyone on the first day.
The resort is in distance close to the centre of Ubud, but it takes about an hour to reach the centre of Ubud with a car. Best time to travel to the centre is before 8am.
I was also disappointed that the resort was unwilling to send the mobile phone to an address in Lombok or other hotel on Bali, even though I had said that I would pay for it - luckily we could find a friend of a friend who was willing to collect it for us otherwise we would have been unable to retrieve our mobile phone.

Everything!
The whole place is beautiful and quiet, far from the tumult of Ubud. The food is delicious and the staff very nice. I highly recommend it.

The environment. The location
Noise. Drilling every day for over an hour. Hammering on my wall when I was trying to nap. More work noise around my room.
