Dar Souad

Very beautiful Dar with exquisite art and decor. Large rooms, lively balcony, good A/C, kind staff, and exceptional breakfasts! So delicious and beautifully presented. They have a tiny pool that we didn’t get to use just because of the timing of our excursions, but it looked refreshing.

The hardest thing about our stay was very poor WiFi signal on the top floor. There was a router outside our door so I know they are putting in the effort, but we had to use our data plans while sitting anywhere in the room besides the door or porch. Signal in the main lobby at breakfast was excellent. The other slight downside is the location. It is a bit off the beaten path in a less-developed part of La Marsa and a little hard for taxis to find. About a 15 minute walk to some of the more central areas.

Amazing place! Great, helpful staff. Beautiful decor, a sweet little pool and an oasis to hide away from the heat in. They also can cook you dinner if you request it, which was very helpful since I was accidentally there during a holiday when restaurants were closed. Highly recommend!

Wifi didn't work on the top floor

Loved the ambiance on the ground floor, the terrace, the living and dining as if we were at home , very charming place Rooms were ok Coffee and breakfast were supper We had dinner once , delicious

The owner and her eldest daughter are very nice. They have a dog and a cat that is so much fun to play with. The elder daughter made an extremely helpful guide that we really appreciate. The bed is extremely soft, and the hotel itself is very beautiful. It’s remotely 20 mins walk for a lot of amazing things like beach and nice restaurants. The lady who makes the breakfast, and the women who serves the breakfast is really nice as well! I’m allergic to nuts and the lady who makes the breakfast accommodated that and made me a separate breakfast.

The room is advertised as much larger than it actually is. The rooms are extremely tiny and not worth the price point in USD. They include breakfast, but there is very rarely any protein in the breakfast so you’re left hungry. Although the pool was gorgeous, the pool was not clean. We were promised a late check out by the owner yet one of the staff members made us checkout early despite the previous approval by the owner. The younger girl who works the night shift is slighty hostile, but it could just be an off set. Only the owner and her daughter speak English, so it was really hard to communicate with staff.
