Peter had given us clear instructions on how to get there and where we could park for free. The house is nice, cosy and very clean. The beds very comfortable. The beach is very nearby and other beaches in Penzance and Porthcurno are also easily accessible via short drive. Plenty of cafes too. Shopkeepers are very friendly and helpful. We are a short drive to Newlyn where there is our new favourite seafood restaurant, Mackerel Sky which serves fresh and delicious seafood. Love the small town vibe.
We have to walk 12min to go to the nearest convenience store just for eggs, milk and bread. Apparently, a much closer one had been replaced by a bigger pasties shop being built.

Location is amazing, and the buidling itself is great. Hosts had sent a text with all the details needed to get to the property.
The beds were umbelivably comfy, although thats a preferential thing.
Parking is tight, although there is nothing that can be done about that. Only an issue if your car makes ot one.

Spacious interior, nice kitchen and upstairs area. Lovely crisp, clean bedding.
Great location. Five minutes walk to the pub and 15 minutes walk to the beach. Dog friendly beach after August.
Parking site, as stated down a very narrow passage. Yes we scraped our car quite badly and dare not move it again until we left. Unless you have a very small car don’t attempt it. We saw another couple scrape theirs too. You can park in the village car parks £90 a week. Definitely would have been cheaper than our repair will cost.
The access through the cottage garden was an absolute nuisance too. There are three or four cottages that have this access and it was constant, coming and going. We had a small dog, one of them had two large dogs, our was always barking at them. Couldn’t sit out in peace.
I hate spiders, there were three big dusty old webs in the lounge. Two in the fireplace and one from the sofa to the bookcase which completely put me off the lounge. It also needs making cozy. The lounge smells a little damp.
It cried out for a log burner or at least a nice electric fire that impersonates a flame, the current one doesn’t although it goes pump out warm air rather noisily.
No glasses there for a nice long gin and tonic. Pint glasses , small wine glasses and tiny tumblers but not big enough for a shot and a can of mixer. We bought ourselves two and no ice compartment in the kitchen fridge so you have to go outside to the outhouse to the freezer each time you top up.
