Good Backpackers in a very interesting location. Loved the colourful murals, the winding passageways from one room to another, the outdoor spaces. Good vegan breakfast. Helpful staff.
Would have liked a blind on the bathroom window for extra privacy - but this is a small thing.

This is not just accommodation, this is an experience!! Entirely run by the locals of Soweto, it is a remarkable example of what a community can do. The hostel is clean, comfy, safe, quiet, provides safe parking for cars, and fabulous Soweto tours by bike or tuktuk. Do not be deterred by shared bathrooms, they are clean and there are many, at least four. I cannot recommend this highly enough. The staff are super kind. Many thanks to Yheyhe for giving us a fantastic tour of Soweto by bike. I think you guys are role models for many communities around the world. Keep up the fantastic job you are doing.
Nothing.
