Leonie was very welcoming and even went out after our arrival to purchase lactose free Yogourt. Our room (Bruni) was spacious, comfortable, well-appointed and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed watching the antics of the pademelons on the lawn at dusk and dawn. It was a short drive away from the tavern in Margate, where we dined on fresh Tassie scallops. Our early breakfast (07h30) was delicious - yoghourt, fresh berries, cereals, home-made bread and conserves - and an ideal start to our half-day trip to Bruny Island. Full breakfast is also available.

we enjoyed watching the local pademelon wallabies feed at the property. Hobart and surrounding areas are very dry (March 2026) so the wallabies are coming closer to homes and property for feed.
Our room was spacious with everything one needs and i loved the big shower.
A variety of goods were offered for breakfast which was delicious. The homemade bread was delicious 😋
The steps ( my husband’s suitcase had broken handles on our arrival in hobart) which made carrying his suitcase awkward .. but we managed!

Wonderful full English breakfast, excellent coffee and fresh fruit. Room and bathroom so comfortable and fantastic view to Bruny Island. Small details like milk, chocolates, chips and biscuits in our room. Wallabies on the lawn in the early morning.

The owners, Leonie and Tim were extremely welcoming. The room was very clean and comfortable. Such a beautiful view from our room. Leonie made us a full English breakfast for us in the morning which was delicious! Would highly recommend a stay at Waterview Gardens!
