The accommodation is in a perfect location for those who want to hike along the ocean. On a quiet street, right next to it is a small bar where you can eat very delicious food for a cheap price. The accommodation is completely functional, the room is much smaller than I expected. It was clean, but it seems that the building could use a renovation. The lady was very nice and helpful, the breakfast was perfect, delicious and plentiful, it was prepared for each room in the common fridge. The common kitchen and living room can be used by anyone, they are nice places. Unfortunately, the weather was quite bad during our stay, it was cold and windy, rainy weather. The room is so small that there was no place to dry clothes or towels. Heating was only provided by a small electric heater, which heated the room, but it was very cold in the common areas. We basically only went to the accommodation to sleep, it was perfect for that, but it would be uncomfortable for a longer stay. Regardless, thank you very much for your attention, we had a great time!

This property is very good value. If you want 5 stars you have to pay 5 star prices. The vibe here is more like a hostel. The do it yourself breakfast worked fine with plenty of food available. You can use the kitchen to cook for yourself. Great bus service both to Sintra and Cascais a short walk away, and a short hike can take you to some brilliant beaches.

My room was small, and the bathroom was small too. No view at all from the window.

Very excellent and warm staff stationed in the restaurant below. Clean room with a decent bed, a space heater that I could use to dry my sodden shoes (after hours walking in a rainy gale), and the best pillows (synthetic stuffing, but soft and not too 'springy') out of five locations so far. By no means 'fancy', but homey atmosphere reminiscent of a decent college rental house. Nice back porch for enjoying a late-night glass of wine and dessert, overlooking an authentic residential courtyard, with a friendly young cat (hopped into my lap for a snooze) that I suspect lives next door. Comfy public room to read or do a little work and a kitchen should yoi wish to prepare a simple meal or picnic lunch. Located in a smallish village with considerable architectural charm. Nice athentic Portuguse café / snack bar next door.

Loud wooden floors and a linear layout with big public rooms on one end and bedrooms directly down a hallway, and raised a bit, is ideal for funneling and amplifying noise to your bedroom door! Probability of sleeping depends on behavior and courtesy of other guests: severely disrupted one night; not so bad the next. Atmosphere of nice little café next door also dependent on clientele. Although authentic in spirit, prone to being colonized by 'overzealous' tourists that eliminate any chance for a true Portuguese experience. But, if you like talking to other tourists...

Fresh bread, nice simple breakfast.

Parking in the area can be a real challenge. Tiny streets full of cars. Take your time. Rooms tiny but seems like from the previous century. Doors to bathroom could not close. When you open the window you might find lots of staff on the balcony or can expect someone enter your room.
