We were warmly welcomed by the reception staff and given a lovely glass of cava. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Our room was large and full of character, with dual aspect Juliet balconies. The setting of the hotel was delightful - in the middle of a wine region - and the old monastery in which the hotel is located was very atmospheric and had been beautifully and thoughtfully converted into a luxury hotel. The breakfast was really excellent!
The air conditioning in our room didn't work well (it was a very warm night and the room was really too warm for comfortable sleeping despite us having turned the air conditioning temperature right down). At dinner in the courtyard, we were pretty much abandoned by the waiting staff and we didn't really get great advice on what to choose from the menu. The hotel was on the expensive side, particularly given the couple of disappointing aspects of the stay.

the setting in the rural country side among the vineyards and the chapel attached to the hotel
1. the new hotel section could blend in the monastery portion.
2. the room A/C did not work as the hotel did not have the system turned on. Our room was to warm and stuffy to sleep well which seems poor management in a hotel that is about better health.
3. the room furnishings were a bit off.
4. the restaurant in the cave could be enchanting if decorated and furnished with style, it misses the mark as is.
