Elegant Apartment with Panoramic View

The information provided prior to our arrival have us clear guidance on what we needed to do in relation to the apartment and also information about the area. Great location for everything. We had some problems that were nothing to do with the apartment. Margarita went above and beyond to help us. Thank you

The apartment itself was very clean and thoughtfully set up. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was great, and both the kitchen and bathroom were very well equipped—with some lovely extra touches in case you’d forgotten anything. Overall, it was a really nice and welcoming space. Margarita met us upon arrival, which was appreciated, and she was very helpful whenever we had questions. She walked us through the updated garbage rules, which can be a bit complicated, and also helped us figure out how to use the stove, which was quite different from what we’re used to. There’s a small outdoor space that was perfect for a morning coffee ( supplied), especially since it wasn’t in direct sunlight. The building has an elevator as well, which was a nice added convenience.

We stayed in early June, and the weather was already quite warm, so air conditioning was essential as slight humidity had set in. Unfortunately, the unit was loud, and as a light sleeper, I found it very disruptive. My partner isn't a light sleeper and he found it loud also. I had to get up multiple times during the night to turn it off due to the noise, and then back on again when the room became too hot. Even with earplugs, the sound was very noticeable, and there was no option to adjust the noise level. During the day, we kept the unit running, so it was cool when we returned, but it would warm up overnight. I didn’t feel comfortable leaving the door open for airflow due to concerns about bugs and mosquitoes. The apartment itself is in a decent location—about a 15–20 minute walk to most places but it wasn’t as central as I had hoped. I wasn’t familiar with the city, so I took a bit of a gamble. Getting back in the evenings involved a fairly long uphill walk, that 15 minutes seemed quite a bit longer. We found two routes—one with quite a steep option at the end, and the other a more gradual incline ,however gradual all the way up. Either way, it can be challenging, especially if you’re not particularly fit. It’s also a bit of a distance from both the main restaurant area and the marina. It's a hilly city so you have a lot of uphill walking in general. Walking down in the morning was effortless, but the return trip in the evening was definitely more of a workout. It is a trade off, it was very lovely and quiet, there was absolutely no street noise in the area.
