This is a very special BnB run by an extremely lovely couple.

This fabulously welcoming "home from home" is located in the charming medieval Citta della Pieve. Linda and Nicola's house is built into the ancient exterior city walls and retains original quirky features while having all the comforts you could wish for. A delicious breakfast which includes Linda's freshly baked cakes is served in her rose garden which presides over a breathtakingly beautiful view of the entire Chiana Valley.

Charming house with warm Italian hospitality

The Italian hospitality was so very appreciated. Nicolai and his wife Linda were impeccable hosts. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and at home. Their command of English is good too so communication was easy. The room was attractive, the bathroom offered everything we needed. The house itself is filled with Italian charm. Citta della Pieve is steeped in history taking one back in time. It’s all very romantic. My husband and I loved it there and will happily return.

In the heart of the city centre, rooms very functional, comfy and warm (we had to put the heat up a few degrees because it was cold that night) but the room heated up quickly so that was a plus. Nicola and his wife went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and were especially kind and generous with our breakfast needs. They made muffins just for us since we weren't really that fussy but they were keen on going the extra mile. Plus it's nice touch that allow us to use the common breakfast room where they leave water and tea making facilities. They even let us leave our bags there as we wandered around the city before we left.

That is wasn't summer and couldn't enjoy the outdoor breakfast in their lovely garden ;)

Heerlijk verblijf in paradijselijk Umbria

Nicola was echt een goede gastheer. Tijdens het ontbijt hadden we leuke gesprekken, deels in het Italiaans, deels in het Engels. Hierdoor is mijn verlangen gegroeid om mijn parate kennis van het Italiaans te vergroten. Het appartement ligt in een rustige straat en heeft een prachtig uitzicht op het landschap ten westen van Città della Pieve.

Śniadanie było dostosowane do naszych życzeń. Bardzo miło gawędziło się z Nicola, który udzielił nam różnych potrzebnych informacji. Zawsze uśmiechnięty i chętny do pomocy. Dziękujemy za kanapki na drogę.
