B&B Batarà - "La Terrazza del Centro"

Very nice, friendly owner/staff, who made tasty breakfast. Location is one of the best, right in the center, just a few steps then you can access the whole street with bars and restaurants. No need to talk about the panoramic view of the whole city and to the Valley of Temples. They even prepared you a goggle to check on the monuments from afar.

The facility is a bit old, but what else you ask for from an old quarter and with this good price.

The terrace was a winner. Air con in the room was great and the bed was comfy. Breakfast was good too. The owner was lovely but without a common language it was a lot of smiles.

The 90 steps to reach the terrace and our room. The bathroom was very poor - shower had poor pressure and without a shower head was more or less a standpipe. Good temperature however.

Friendly host. Great location for exploring the old town streets. There were lots of stairs up to our room but we were aware of this prior to booking. Room was a good size an it was lovely having the small balcony for drinks in the evening or admiring the valley of temples in the distance below. It was also nice to be able to eat our take-away evening meal (pizza) on the breakfast terrace, watching the sun go down and the starry night sky with a glass of wine. We had a comfy bed and the shower was hot. Breakfast was served on the outside terrace as a buffet style with a good range of homemade cakes, bread, juice, yoghurt, cereals and a make-your-own bruschetta or toastie machine. Coffee was made to order and we were well looked after by our host.

Some elements of the room were a bit rustic and would need some tlc/updating. Breakfast was nicely presented but would have been nice to have some fresh fruit.

Staff were friendly and the location convenient for exploring Agrigento. Nice to have breakfast on the terrace.

The room was very dark and the bathroom quite cramped…the shower worked but was very basic. Not sure that the bedroom floor was that clean. The main issue was the over eighty steps that had to be climbed to get up to the room…with luggage. We are fit but this was not ideal on every trip out.
