About this house rental
Beck’s Corner is as cute as it can be! This charming home offers 1 bedroom, 1 full bath, large yard, central air conditioning, and sleeps up 5 – 6 people with 1 Queen, 1 double (hide-a-bed), and 1 Twin (Rollaway) Bed, and is pet friendly. Located within just a few minutes walk to the Veteran’s Memorial Park which has tennis & basketball courts, pavilion, playground, fishing dock, boat launching area, and is the perfect spot for viewing of the Pony Swim in July. Upon entering the home you will be greeted by a spacious living room, kitchen, and a sunroom in addition to the 1 bedroom and 1 full bath. The large yard offers plenty of space for outdoor play and picnics. We invite you to catch up on some much needed rest &relaxation, and to take time to breathe in the salt air breezes. Owner will allow a maximum of 2 dogs. The owner also reserves the right to park cars on the large lot next to house on Pony Penning ( Wednesday) and again on FRIDAY, the SWIM BACK DAY.
This home has a NO SMOKING policy. We ask that you leave the home in a neat and tidy condition.
2 Dogs are allowed, with a weight limit per dog of 80 pounds. There is $135 added to the base rental rate per pet and is not refundable.

Great lil house that met our needs. Even had deer and fawns in the yard! Only issue we had was the bathtub drain....super duper slow. Would stay again.

Nice seaside old style cottage. Has almost everything you need for beach trip. Only downer was having to haul linens and towels along a long road trip just for this stop. Given high cleaning fee would expect that amenities.

Overall, the house was fine and had the space and utilities my husband, myself, and our 14yo pug mix. The decor isn't exactly "romantic," but I'm not counting that against the review here. The central AC worked great. I do have to deduct points, though, for two important factors: 1) That mattress has got to go. I saw other reviews that mentioned it, but thought nothing of it. Neither one of us could stand to sleep on that mattress. The futon was not much more comfortable. By the third night I was sleeping on the couch and he was sleeping on the provided cot. 2) This one is out of the property manager's control, but it still effected our stay. Sand Burs on the property. They are these weird things that get spiky and sticky on the island around the time of year we stayed (late August). Part of the reason we booked the property was the large yard. It proved to be useless bc of the spiky things. We spent an afternoon using tweezers to pull splinters and spikes out of our dogs paw. I felt so bad for him. We put down some cloth from the hardware store in the yard, but it was hard to convince the dog what to do on it. We had to drive him to a dog park on the other end of the island. The location is fine, bc its a 7-mile island so nowhere is really more than a ten minute drive. Debbie was very nice and easy to communicate with. She was very flexible when we decided to add an extra day to our stay. I appreciate her customer service, but probably will book somewhere else in the future.
