Sami View Studios

Set higher up and back from the road in to Sami so stunning view of the sea and mountains. Our studio had everything you could need provided, lots of extras including food sundries, large size mugs, a lighter for candles, and local biscuits. It was extremely clean. The bed was large and comfy, extra bedding not needed but there incase. We used the immaculate pool, and Vicky provided free little ice creams mid pm which was a lovely touch. The noise of the bells from the goats and sheep behind the property was authentic and relaxing. We lived watching them. The gardens were extremely well kept, Vicky and her lovely partner are competent gardeners, it was lovely. We highly recommend staying here.

For us it was perfectly situated, we walked in to Sami from down behind the Pericles Hotel but it’s a reasonable walk. The main road walk is quicker but no pavement in parts and traffic a bit scary.

Vicky is a lovely host, very warm and welcoming. We loved the thoughtful extra little touches, like fresh biscuits in the room and homemade lemonade, yum! We stayed towards the end of our time on Kefalonia and were missing our pets so loved seeing the owners cats and friendly dog Roxy :) The apartment was very well equipped, can't think of anything that needs to be added! The bed was very comfortable, air conditioning appreciated and the shower was hot and powerful. The property is on the outskirts of Sami, we had a car so was only about 2-3min drive or I'd guess about a 10-15mins walk. Antisamos beach is fabulous, about a 10mins drive.

Only wish we could've stayed longer!

Extremely clean (my husband is picky, always finds something to complain about, but even he was impressed by how clean and fresh-smelling everything was)! The hosts were warm and welcoming, very friendly people, and they even left us some local sweets and basics in the fridge - great experience overall. The pool and garden are also spotlessly maintained, and the whole area has a nice rural vibe (lots of cute goats, olive trees, cats, pomegranate trees even, and the hosts' dog was just as friendly as its owners). We loved the comfy bed and the bathroom, all of it spacious and modern.

What looks like a terrace door on the pictures is actually the entrance (/combined only window) for the whole apartment, which made it a bit dark inside but we could still air the place out by leaving the door open for a few minutes. There was also a noticeable gap below the right-wing side of said door, so all the noise from the street/neighbours could be heard as if they were in the room with us; add all the noise from the upstairs neighbour (chairs dragging mostly), and it kept waking us up, sadly... (and I am not a light sleeper normally) However, this is probably only a problem for this specific room, all the others could be perfect really, as everything else was truly amazing!

The hosts are very friendly and you can feel they want you to have a great stay at their place. The room was very comfortable. The bathroom, even though small, it was exactly what we needed - I appreciated that it was clean, new and modern. The view from the balcony (we chose sea view apartment) was truly beautiful, perfect to watch the sunset. The parking is super good - in their garden, all spots are in the shade. The garden is btw, very nice and well maintained.

For us was only a transit accommodation, so I didn't notice anything that I didn't like. Everything was exactly how we expected, maybe even a bit better.
