Emplacement au calme dans la montagne, loin de la foule, le seul bruit est celui des cigales 🤩 Belle villa, tout est spacieux, belle pièce à vivre, belles chambres. Villa entourée par une terrasse qui surplombe la piscine (top pour surveiller les enfants) et aux chambres 1 balcon. Nous avons été revu comme des rois, les petites douceurs dans le frigo étaient délicieuses. Les enfants ont adoré jouer dans la piscine et voir le troupeau de moutons passer tous les soirs en bas de la villa.

Villa Ikaros is the perfect location for a peaceful break. Spectacular views of the mountains, all day sunshine and a pleasant breeze, coupled with a great pool make for a very relaxing holiday. While the villa occupies a lovely rural setting, the main road is easily accessible making trips to Chania and Rethymno very straight forward. Georgioupolis is a five minutes drive and has a variety of bars and restaurants. The local taxi company is very friendly and helpful, with the journey to and from Villa Ikaros is only 8 euros each way. There is a local taverna in walking distance where you can enjoy a drink or supper as the sun goes down. Villa Ikaros is beautifully presented and well laid out. The house is spotlessly clean with everything you need to make it home from home: super comfy beds, sheets and towels changed regularly during our stay, indoor and outdoor dining areas. On arrival, we were delighted to be welcomed by a fine array of sweet treats prepared by Paulos' mother, lovely fresh grapes and some local Raki. Paulos and his family are the perfect hosts. They are nearby if you need anything and are very friendly and welcoming. We would highly recommend Villa Ikaros and hope very much to return.

There was nothing not to like about Villa Ikaros. While some people may miss a dishwasher, the spectacular views from the kitchen mean washing up is really not too bad.
