"We travelled to Trullo Riccardo in March, mainly as to avoid summer temperatures and crowds. Even though Trullo has thick walls and the temperature was chilly in the evenings and mornings, it was warm..."

We wanted to stay in a historic trullo. This one was great, in the middle of an olive tree grove, just 15 min out of Ostuni, so great location - close enough to town, and as soon as you exit the city limits the countryside is lovely and quiet, so a lovely 12mins in the countryside. You don't get that at home. Great having a central room with sofabed and table and chairs to eat and relax after touring for the day. Kitchen is off the room, and has a lovely door to the front porch, opening the door to let the sun in the morning was lovely while making espressos. Very cool roof top terrace with table and chairs to lounge after hours, but a bit chilly mid-March to stay long. Nice front porch overlooking the olive grove, and shielded from the chill, so great for relaxing after a long day.
While it should be expected for these traditional trulli, I didn't expect to have to duck while I took a few steps through the 2.5 foot thick doorway into the bedroom. The walls are thick, but I would have appreciated a note on this. I pretty much worried about hitting my head every time I entered and exited the room, especially during the night when I had to use the bathroom while half asleep. I didn't bother going into the 2nd bedroom as the doorway was even shorter so I had to crouch to get in. Kids slept in there, and even the 11 year old had to duck her head to get through and ended up hitting her head. Great heating radiators in every room, but would have been nice to have an extra blanket or two rather than so many extra pillows. Same with toiletries - there was a single travel size shampoo for the 5 of us for 3 days - we had to go into town to purchase more. It must have been that time of year, but I could smell bonfire pretty much the entire time we stayed there. Perhaps farmers burning brush at the end of winter, so that would have been a nice heads up as I didn't take any deep breaths at all for the few days we were there. Another warning would be the sceptic system - perhaps telling folks to not put any toilet paper down the toilet might be good advice to prevent backing up.
