The location is simply wonderful - set on the fringe of Franschhoek in a beautiful wine estate, overlooked by a stunning landscape. The accommodation is genuinely old school with an historical feel, full of character, beautiful artefacts, all looked after by very warm and attentive staff. Expensive, but real quality

Great location and setting, good wine, friendly and very helpful staff that assisted.
Nowhere near 5 star level, I understand it’s off season and pricing is discounted, but the facilities are nowhere near 5 star level. Half filler leaf covered pool, thin bar bath towels (not even sheets) duvet inner that is too small for the bed, probably the worst mattress I have ever slept on, not a single plug point at table level you have to go on all 4s to try charge anything, just an entire air of neglect and lack of investment
