Ndalem Suryo Saptono Guest House

This "ndalem" place is in Jogja, but somehow it gives off major Bali villa vibes...or maybe it's the other way around? Honestly, it's confusing in the best possible way 🤭🤩 I was that excited! The architecture is absolutely aesthetic and Instagram-worthy. The hot water? Top tier. The room is spacious, neat, and super clean. It's surrounded by what feels like a tiny tropical forest hahaha. The plants are thriving and make the whole place feel fresh and peaceful, like a tiny rain forest for sure. You'll see! I hadn't even stepped out of the taxi yet and the staff were already greeting me from a distance. Such a warm welcome! They also offer massage services if you're tired or feeling sore, and there's motorbike rental available too. And most importantly: the location is FANTASTIC! Just a short walk outside and you'll find so many great food options nearby : Tempo Gelato, Bebek Slamet, Waroeng SS, Mirota Kampus, Fore, Tomoro Coffee, and Warung Sempurna (an affordable buffet-style spot with lots of delicious choices and no MSG!) A smart and excellent choice for staying in Jogja 🔥

No swimming pool maybe? But nah, it's okay no to have one!

Stay 2 nights in here. We bbok upper and below house. Location was strategic. Enough parking for suv. Roas was ok for 2 cars. Room is large enough for 2 adult and kid. Lighting was perfect. Weather was ok. Not too hot but there's an aircon. Staff provide us fried banana and fried cassava in the morning. Taste so good. What we like the most is the ambience of house. Minus basic toiletries, i think would be good if it is provided. Overall we all enjoy our stay. Will def go back again when visit jogja. :))

Location is perfect, close distance to malioboro but quiet area

It's a constructive feedback for the owner to service AC unit in one of the room as it's dropping hence the AC is not as cold as the other room

You can get delicous free morning snack from the owner / guest house helper, like fried banana (our favorites), fried sweet potato and lapis legit cake. Helpful and friendly staff. You will like it if you love classic old javanese style house in the village. You can see the rice paddy field in front of guest house complex, hear the sound of birds (they have lots of birds in caged), and see lots of trees and plants (including mango and durian tree). Cleanliness is average but still okay.

Decent wifi and limited entertainment. Since it has lots of trees and plants in the garden, there're also mosquitos. I have the type of person who easily got bitten by mosquitos, so mosquito repellent is a MUST. Sometimes, there're also ants in the bathroom, so you also need to be careful. Hot water is on and off.
