Remote, intimate, clean, beautifully appointed

Das Ambiente dieser Anlage ist großartig. Wir haben uns bei Mohamed, Mustafa und Abdul wie in der eigenen Familie gefühlt, herzlich aufgenommen, freundschaftlich umsorgt, immer gut gelaunt. Einmal haben wir mittegs miteinander gekocht und gegessen!

Da fällt mir überhaupt nichts ein! Vielleicht doch, morgens früh hat uns das Gurren von Tauben geweckt. Der Ritt in die Wüste, 1/2 Stunde hin, 1/2 Stunde her, hat für den Sonnenuntergang nicht gelohnt, den kann man auch zu Fuß erleben, höchstens für die Gaudi.

We loved the small scale of the camp, the stylish, warm and nicely decorated family tent, the friendliness and responsiveness of the staff. Lovely seating areas in the dunes and 2 sandboards available to have some action. The staff did there best with a fresh and original diner and with fun, live music at the firepit. I had a huge cold and they helped me by providing hot water and herbs to unblock my nose and calm things down. We had a nice and private camel ride in the morning at sunrise. We got up before the sunrise and got seated on a dune to enjoy the sunrise with just the 4 of us. The camel (dromedare) guide was discrete, kind and made really lovely family photos for us. We also chose a half day guided adventure with 4WD to the nomads for a kind encounter and invitation for tea and berber pizza, drove to the lake, the abandonned village with old mine, had a fantastic ride across the dunes and a walk at the Merzouga palmgrove. Truly enjoyed this.

When walking to the top of the dunes for sunset, we could see some other larger camps at walking distance. However they were not visible from the grounds of the pueblo touareg camp itself. If you expect full privacy in completely deserted dune landscape like in a large dessert, this is not the case. However, the camp was still much more intimate, less touristic and more authentic than other camps. And we really enjoyed the atmosphere and changing light in the dunes. We would definitely recommend it to fellow travellers.
