The staff were excellent, especially Jean Paul, Emmanuel and Kevine. Very attentive to our needs in the hotel, and providing guidance for our outings. We felt at home, and have adopted Step Town as our home in Kigali. The hotel itself is a quaint building, with nice balconies for watching the sunrise/sunset, breathtaking views of Kigali. And the meals.... just remembering is making me feel hungry: very good value for money at that.
As the food is freshly prepared, you need to wait about 30 minutes from when you order. Also, the shortest route to the centre of the CBD which is just about 500m away, involves going through about 200m of dusty road. Alternative routes practically doubled the journey, though they aren't as steep.
