The city center is 7 minutes by car, Santa Claus Village is 15 minutes away, and the airport is 20 minutes away.

The bathroom and toilet are shared with the tenant of the other room. The family lives on the ground floor.

Perfect, dreamy, out of a fairytale, clean, warm, quiet.

We had a wonderful stay here at this accomodation. First: the adress. Is located in a veeery dreamy place, it seems like it is taken out from a fairytale: nature, snow, quiteness, just wonderful. Second: the accomodation itself. It is very beautiful, very very clean, very warm (we slept in light pijamas), very quiet. Third: the owners. They were extremely nice with us, they gave us advice for the northern lights, we chatted with them and they were very friendly and nice people. If i ever want to come back in rovaniemi, surely i will come back to this accomodation and i will reccomend it.

Lapland best kept secret

Nothing was to much trouble, every message I sent was answered promptly, this lady is a lovely host, arranged pick up from the airport. Lots of local knowledge, the city apartment was just lovely...! Sleeps 2 so was suitable for my daughter and I spotlessly clean and cosy.

Our stay in private villa at Villa Virpi

Our stay at Villa Virpi definitely exceeded our expectations. We were offered an upgrade to stay at private villa. I fully recomend it to ask the host for private villa-it might cost a little extra, but it is all worth it! There is floor heating in every single room and we loved it. The kitchen is fully equipted: hubs, oven, microwave, ground coffe maker, kettle, toaster, plates, glasses, mugs and cutlery. There are also some leftovers of honey, coffe, tea, cereals, rice and others groceries in the kitchen cabinet, if you need something. Bathroom: shower, but no bath; Be ready to buy a toilet paper, or ask your host for some. It is also a great location, still reasonable close to take a walk to the city centre. The driveway to the villa is large enough to park multiple cars. The host offers pick up from the airport, but we had rental car from the airport, which has been the easiest rental we experienced so far (FinnRent). If you arriving too late in the night and need to buy some food/hygiene products, there is 24/7shop in the city centre called Sale Lapinmaa.

Only one bedside table next to the bed I would like to have some cleaning products in the bathroom to clean the toilet or floor, when neeeded during the stay.

Horribly dirty! We called booking com and asked for reimbursement first they said yes and the next day they changed their minds. No more booking com when we travel.

Great place, cozy and warm. A short walk from the centre.

Room was nice and toasty, bed was comfy, it was in a nice place, just 20min walk from the town centre.

I was a little surprised that it was a shared bathroom, but it made sense. It's not a hotel. It's a house/BnB. Everything was nice and clean though. 0 problems.

Beautiful, cosy cabin

We were given a free upgrade to the cabin at the back of the main house. It was gorgeous, cosy & warm. We could stay as long as we wanted after checkout which was great. Our host couldn't have been nicer or friendlier. I'd definitely recommend staying here. Gorgeous little spot

I stayed with my family. We were total 4 adults. We all really enjoyed the stay.

The location was very approachable to airport, city centre. At the same time, we got the feeling of staying in a remote area. There is a supermarket nearby. We really enjoyed the place. It was warm although there was huge snow all around.

The place is such a dream. It's much more than " a stay", it's an experience!!! Much better than just been in a hotel room. Cozy place, heated, and comfy. The place is extremely clean, with all home facilities that anyone can need and they have sleds to the kids.

Very nice cottage in the backyard of the owners house. Comfortable & clean, well equipped kitchen, with your own porch. Kids liked the christmas tree and presents in the center of the house.

Hidden gem close to Rovaniemi center

Wonderful stay with very close proximity to the city centre and main attractions. Highly recommended! We stayed in the private villa, which was well heated and had good amenities for a week long stay. The villa is close to bus stop, but if you have car, it is only 8min drive from larger supermarkets (Prisma) and close to many of the attractions (Santa's village, ski areas, etc). We even saw northern lights in the sky above on some of the nights !

Nice place in Rovaniemi

We were very welcomed by the owner. We were chatting in the living room after check-in and he also offered us a sausage as a small snack made on the fireplace :-) Our room was in the first floor, was big enough with a small kitchen corner and a fridge. We were sharing a bathroom with other roommates which could be cleaner in our opinion.

Dirty, unfriendly and disgusting!

Kitchen was well equipped

DON'T STAY HERE!!! IT'S SO DIRTY!! YOU CAN'T CANCEL!!! My girlfriend hurt her knee and we couln't rent a car, so we asked to cancel the stay, as walking 30min through snow and ice would be cruel! When we asked if we could cancel and get a refund the host responded very rudly with 'you probably have travel insurance'. They weren't trying to find a good solution for all parties. I messaged them that we're still going to stay there. Whenever we arrived the host was rather suprised that we'd stay there. In our room on the throw blanket there were stains and hair. The wardrobe was full of dust, hair and dirty (the mirror wasn't cleaned either). There are a microwave, coffe cooker, electric kettle (there was still water inside: from prior guests??) and fridge (very dirty and also very loud in the night). The wall behind the bed was dirty as well. The door to our room was very hard to open/shut (we had to use our full body weight to get it open). From the inside, the door could be locked by a door chain, which could be opened from the outside as well. For locking the room from the outside there was a little padlock provided, which didn't seem safe at all. Luckily the other guests seemed nice, if there would have been different ones we wouldn't have felt safe at all. The host wears long underwear in the house, which in our oppinion isn't appropriate (especially because the other guests had a daughter!). The day we arrived and the day after there was a trash bag lying around in the bathroom. The sink in the bathroom had cracks and the floor, wall and cupboard were very dirty. The shower was rusty and didn't look inviting either. The villa had a weird smell to it. Even hostels are cleaner than this accomodation. The host speaks only little english. There are no Covid-19 precautions or handsanitizer. The room was very overpriced for the location and what you get (cleanliness is something the host doesn't know!!).
