Fijn en ruim appartement.

1 groot bed maar met 2 aparte matrassen, dus een kier in het midden, niet fijn. En behoorlijk ver van het centrum. Het is 30 minuten lopen naar het treinstation, en de weg gaat ook nog omhoog en omlaag.

The apartment complex is designed to resemble a Catalan hamlet. There are beautiful views as you walk down towards the sea. There are clear rules on noise for the sake of your neighbours. It was very peaceful in January as it seems like only about 10 percent of the flats are permanently inhabited. There is a large parking area in a cul-de-sac and there's no road traffic noise. Instead, when the sea is rough, you can hear the wonderful noise of the crashing waves. The pool is beautifully set in a courtyard. The architectural design makes it the best apartment we've ever stayed in. There are 2 communal outdoor areas, one being really big, with tables, a huge sink and space overlooking the sea. This would be shady in the summer and would provide a space for children to play and socialise with other children. There are dramatic steps leading down rocks towards the sea which have been storm damaged. Sea views are beautiful There are 2 beaches very nearby. The nearest beach isn't as pretty as the next one. The marina has several bars and restaurants. The third beach, as you walk towards Sitges, is really beautiful and is the one we would use if it we had been there in summer. Montse is a very kind and welcoming host. She tries very hard to make everything perfect for you.

The memory foam mattress was too soft for me but my partner found it OK. I decided to sleep on the sofa bed in the living room which is much more supportive for my spine. For people who sleep in the living room there's noise from the main coastal train line including freight and international high speed trains, which run through the night. I wasn't awake for long however. Personally I found the noise quite soothing. You have to throw your refuse in a large bin outside another apartment complex which is about half a km away.

De trein raast van 5.30 tot 11.00 uur naast je bed. Erg veel lawaai! De stank van riool in de badkamer. Toilet niet afgekit. Helaas geen balkon en het zwembad moet wel gemaakt worden. De vloer laat los. Scherpe delen!
