Due to the fact that Cape Town had very little accommodation available, for our dates, we were blessed to find Villa Eike in Grabouw. The apartment was beautifully decorated and wonderfully equipped. The bed was comfortable. Debbie was friendly and helpful. Thank you for providing an amazing place to stay.

The location was good. Bed was comfortable. Rooms and bathroom large. Bathroom is pleasant to use. Pool is large and a pleasant size. Cleaning lady is very friendly.
There is a microwave but no plates or cutlery. After asking we were given these to use.
There are no 2 pin plug sockets for charging. We were given an adapter, a bit reluctantly, which was abruptly demanded to be returned the following day without any warning while an expensive camera battery had just begun charging. 2 pin charging points are a necessity these days for cellphones, cameras and laptops; no excuse for not having these. First time I have had an issue at a guest house concerning charging points.
We were kind of lectured a bit on the use of the gate remote on arrival...I have had many of those and I've never opened a gate accidentally. The following day I had another lecture on air conditioner usage, i.e. windows must be closed. I don't know where that came as we used it at night when the windows were closed and in any event it was colder outside so it would not have made a difference had the windows been open. Pool was murky and could have been more appreciated had it been clear. We were told that pool chemicals were located in Somerset West...a bit of planning would have sufficed there. The upper shelves in the wardrobes were rather dusty. The curtains are rather thin so in midsummer you are forced into waking up early as the sun rises on the side where the large window is.
