Styl penzionu, výzdoba, pěkná zahrada. Počkali na ná i po zavírací době recepce. Zajímavý způsob snídaně- z menu vám připraví vše, oč si řeknete. Zamezuje se tím plýtvání potravinami.

Die Umgebung bei Vag ist sehr schön und sehr ruhig. Das Frühstück gleicht dem eines 5-Sterne-Hotels – es ist à la carte erhältlich und absolut köstlich. Das Restaurant ist bis 21:00 Uhr geöffnet, und das Essen ist fantastisch lecker. Das Zimmer ist reizend, geräumig und gut eingerichtet. Die Betten waren bequem. Das Badezimmer ist schön; leider fehlte am Heizkörper ein Ventil, sodass er sich nicht einschalten ließ – und Anfang April war es noch recht kühl. Folglich trockneten die Handtücher über Nacht nicht.

Zwar steht ein Fernseher zur Verfügung, dieser bietet jedoch leider größtenteils nur slowakische Sender. Zudem handelt es sich bei dem Gerät nicht um einen Smart-TV, weshalb wir keinen Zugriff auf Streaming-Dienste hatten. Heutzutage gehört ein Smart-TV eigentlich zur Standardausstattung. Die Pension liegt recht weit abseits – ein Umstand, der uns bereits im Voraus bekannt war. Leider ist die Zufahrtsstraße – genauer gesagt der letzte Kilometer – lediglich ein Schotterweg, der von großen Schlaglöchern übersät und extrem staubig ist. Unser Auto war bereits nach nur zwei Tagen stark verschmutzt.

The hotel itself is beautiful, and the building has an interesting history.

The hotel staff caused us undue stress even before we could check in, tarnishing our entire experience. The Booking.com listing offered two reservation options: a standard rate with check-in available until 22:00 and a paid late check-in option allowing arrival until 23:00. We reserved the room with the paid late check-in until 23:00. On the day of arrival, around 20:00, I wrote to confirm we would use this option and arrive at approximately 22:10. The hotel returned my call and, in an ultimatum-like manner, insisted that no late check-in option had ever existed, that they had been operating for 17 years and knew better than I did, that they would leave the premises precisely at 22:00, and that they could not wait even ten minutes. I was told that if I disagreed, it was my problem and I could complain to Booking.com or “even to the minister” (their words). After I sent them a screenshot from Booking.com explicitly stating “late check-in until 23:00” and asked that they at least leave a key so I would not have to find another hotel in the middle of the night, they finally agreed to hide the key and we were able to enter. So, instead of acknowledging their error in the Booking.com settings, apologizing, and offering to wait ten minutes, they attempted to shift responsibility to the guest and created the risk that we would be forced to search for alternative accommodation late at night.
