Million $ View-Easy 10 minute Walk to Old Town/Los Muertos Beach Luxurious Condo

We spent Jan-24 at the $M-view condo. The VRBO listing properly presents the physical amenities of the unit. Benefits we would emphasize include (1) Deck looks north, so it has shade all day, which is lovely in the sometimes steamy climate (2) The adjacent condo buildings were built such that no neighbors can look directly onto 2/3 of the deck (3) there is a nice roomy deck table where we ate every meal (4) there are gated stairs going down to the lower street level, saving renters many steps compared to using Hortensia (5) The icemaker and dishwasher work well (6) The pool is heated, and it needs it because it gets little sun in January. (7) There is once weekly maid service. There are some things that could be better. Although not the owner's fault, there is a Pool Club immediately across the gully which offers throbbing rhythms for your afternoons and evenings a few times (3 – 5) each week. It was loud early in the month and toned down a bit later. There is a plant nursery in the gully that was frequently burning trimmings (or something) sending a smoky smell around the neighborhood for hours. The chairs around said deck table, where we sat constantly, could be more comfortable; they receive immensely more use than the living room or dining room furniture. The bed linens are worn and some fit poorly on the Master bed. All in all, despite having identified some issues, the view and the climate are among the best that can be found anywhere. The apartment itself is pretty well appointed with all you will need for a lovely visit to Old Town, Puerto Vallarta. All the appliances worked and it was nice that the clothes dryer was "gas" heat so the clothes dried very quickly. Lovely views and we certainly enjoyed coffees and drinks on the deck. If there was any downpoint, it was the cleanliness of the apartment on our arrival. The tile floors throughout the apartment including the bathrooms certainly need a good scrubbing, especially in the "corners" and the "throw-rugs" need to be changed or washed/cleaned at the very least. Still willing to give the apartment a good review and the steps getting down to the main road and to the town business core was nothing more than some healthy exercise, but we always cheated and took a taxi back up (70 peso, tip included)

This is a wonderful place to stay. The three rooms and three bathrooms were great to have for 5 people. We spent each morning and evening enjoying the view. The NYE fireworks could be seen around the bay and was the best fireworks show I have ever seen. There are many stairs to the condo so just be prepared. We climbed them a few times per day. It is a quick walk to the many restaurants and the beach. The hosts are very responsive and helpful.
